i need the run down on replacing the seals on the xfer case, tranny to xfer case and out put seal how to do it any tips and advice is welcome!! thanks alot,
dale,
i ahve to do this soon i have a huge puddle of fluid under my truck, i am planning to get the parts tomorrow

its a 700r4 241 combo i was planning on replaceing the tranny to t case seal and the out put seal on the t case, thanks alot,
dale

i've changed my t-case seals before, just pop the old ones out (easier said than done thats for sure) then pop the new ones in, pretty easy, hardest part is probably pulling and installing the t-case

I did this a couple of months ago when I installed my SYE. It had been leaking for awhile. The biggest tip I can think of is have a buddy handy for putting the case back in. It's just hard to lift into place and all by yourself. The 241 is not terribly heavy, but awkward. The seals are just self-explanatory, if you've ever changed seals before. If you get into it and have specific questions, post up & I'll do my best to help.

ill be dooing it on base, they have lifts and tranny jacks so im not worried about that, i was just wondering how many seals, and how to get them out thanks alot for all the help,
dale

theres 4 seals, input, front output, rear output and shifter seal. the hardest one is the input, oyu can't get to the inside like the others.

you can do the others while it is still in the truck, its easier to install the front output while in the truck, because you have to hold it while you take the nut off, just put in in park and 4wd and crank it off. like the others said its not hard, just normal seal replacement.

from what i can tell its leaking from the seal between the tranny and t-case, so ill need to do that one and also i just want to do the t-case rear out put too while i have it out, Ive never done seals before, what tools do i need to get them out?
thanks alot,
dale
