What do ya think ? Will it look OK,or crap? I want to get rid of the rust and make room for a little bit bigger tires.

If you cut there, I wouldnt cut it straight. Cut it at a curve. And don't be surprised if that bondo chips off while your cutting

I would tray and cut at an angle up to where the radius starts along the top edge.

It'll look a little nicer, and body lines won't look as goofy.

I did a cut like that on my front end, just as a rough cut. I know I am going to clean it up once it gets warm, but I really hate how it screws with the flow of the truck.

Just because your hacking a truck doesn't mean it can't keep a semi nice body line, ya know??

I did and cut the rear as well. Looked OK to me:

Do you have any more straight on shots of your rear..um..Wheel wells?
And whats that around the edge? Its like I know what it is I just cant place my finger on it.... hummm :what:

I kinda hate to cut it,but thats section is pretty trashed.

Looks like tube was used to trim it out. I've thought about doing something like that. It'd give a nice, smooth, non-sharp finished edge, but would be pretty economical.

You could cut however you want, then bend the tube to match it. Then just cut a groove in the tube to slip it in place. Weld it on and call it good.

pics of triming on my k5. The rattle can paint job was just a quick thing I did for my son. I asked him if he wanted to see flames on the truck, he said yes so I painted them on real quick. Im going to paint the truck like this, just not around the wheel well though.

Just wondering , whats the cable lock for?

Now Im thinking one of these.I dont want to cut right under the trim,I feel it would look funny with the stock bumper. At least till next tax return,I have plans to buy a tube bumper then.

Here' what I would do:

I actually cut all the rust out of mine (even the spots in the middle of the fender), but if you do that you won't be able to use the trim.

How did you cut the rust out of the middle of your fender? I would like to see pictures of this, because I'm trying to deal with my rusty rear fenders right now. Thanks.
