If you are planning to attend Blazer Bash 2011....

I usually shut off the spigot a week before the event. This year we are planning to spend the entire week in Moab, so it will probably be closed between Aug 29th and Sept 1st. You can also register at the event if you really want to wait until the last minute but you may be limited on your trail choices.
well, If I register and don't make it, can someone put my raffle tickets in and win stuff for me still?

I don't mind. Just drop me a note and let me know who is going to grab your registration packet.

Registered! Hells Revenge on Thursday (should be fun!) driving course on Friday (shouldn't that come BEFORE I run Hell's Revenge? Haha) the golden spike Saturday and finally the poision spider run on Sunday

Just a note, I forgot about Fins n' Things for Sunday. It's on the registration form right now, but you won't see it on the schedule of events on the registration page. Meeting place and time are the same as the other 2 trails for Sunday.

That requires a white v neck shirt tied with a knot at the bottom. I'm sure Scott can provide that.

Huh, sure enough it's missing. I'll see about fixing it.

uuummmm.... can anyone "define" this better ?

Further, I certify that my vehicle meets the safety requirements for legal operation in the State of Utah and for the rules of the 2011 Blazer Bash.

Street legal ???

What about trailered only rigs ?

:dunno:

It's not a big deal. We trailered out to BFE last year, and to hells on the Monday after. Couple guys trailered to Prichette. Stephen from ORD drove the flag buggy on the street there. If you do Goldenspike/ Trifecta then you need to be able to run down the road to get back to town. We only drove about 45mph on the way back in from Behind the Rocks, just pulled over so people could pass us, and while storm trooper made fun of us on the cb! They don't bother you much when you are in a group and not driving like a jackass.

It doesn't say street legal just that you have proper safety equipment. I'll see if I can find more specifics, but it may be all codified mumbo-jumbo. I know for example you need a seatbelt. That verbiage is part of our stipulations under the BLM permit.

Here's the exact reference:

(2) All vehicle use will be in accordance with State law and BLM off-road vehicle designations. Vehicles must stay only on routes authorized by the Special Recreation Permit. Vehicle use is not authorized in Wilderness Study Areas. No off-route travel would be permitted. To avoid damaging cultural sites that may be near the routes, the roadbed should not be widened by inappropriate passing or parking.

So it does specifically say "off road".

As long as it doesn't have to have tags and a state inspection sticker... I'm good....I have what I would consider to be the normal trail rig safety required items...

5 point harness,, roll cage,, brakes,, brake lights,,headlights. fire extinguisher
