ignition switch removal

Ok guys I need to remove my iginition switch from the dash and swap it out cause when I bought the blazer it was missing the key . Any ideas I know on most of these you need the key and a small pin or pick to take them apart is there any other way? It's a 72 blazer

Locksmith should be able to make you a key for the switch that is in it.

I don't know of a way to do it without having a key. Sorry

that was my first idea but they took the torchs away from me

1/2" drill bit works pretty good.

If you just need to remove the switch from the dash, you can unscrew the chrome "nut" looking thing that surrounds the lock.

Sweet thats all i need to do cause i have a new one. I just didn't want to make things worse by breaking things takeing them apart. Thanks Denny

There's a weird tool that you can use to do it or just take a couple screwdrivers and get it turning with the two or three small notches in the front. It's not difficult.
