Merry Christmas to me! Finally bought my dream rig: a 72 Blazer CST. It hasn't been delivered yet, but I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival in a few days (hopefully).

I've been a lurker on this site for awhile and want to thank y'all for your great posts. They helped me pick the right Blazer for me. Looking forward to giving back to the forum what I've gleaned.

Here are some pics!

That's too clean.... better take it off road... better yet, bring it up to the northeast and drive it in the winter....
I do love that color. My 70 is metallic olive green. Definitely not as nice as that one. Got me some blazer envy! Congrats on the new ride!

Congratulations!! I just got my 1st Gen Blazer as well and have been enjoying it and the compliments people give me.

Holy crap. Epic first post.

So since everyone is thinking it anyways... Ill be the jerk.

What did you pay...????? :D

Fine. I'll talk. Don't want to come off as coy...being a new member and all. I paid 25K for it. And honestly, from what I've seen around that's in this good of condition I was stoked.

I don't have anywhere near the knowledge and know-how that most of you do when it comes to restoring something myself. I know a little. I can take things apart and put them back together without too many leftover bolts. I can assess a problem and generally figure out the solution. But I'm not getting anywhere close to a cutting saw and a welder. So I had to find something finished...or close to it.

It was a bit more than I was looking to pay, but this one came along and I couldn't pass it up. Whoever bought it originally checked all the upgrades on the list from the rally wheels to the a/c. The restoration was done well, I used the checklist posted in one of the forums and it passed with flying colors. I'm actually surprised it wasn't more expensive. So, I jumped on it.

I'll post more pics once it arrives. Thanks for looking guys!

Honestly that was around the idea i had in my head. As long as its a nice clean resto, thats fine by me.

Looks good, that is a sharp color combo. And think of it this way, still less expensive than a new SUV.

Just to be that guy....

Clean the cheesy wiring up a little bit if you can.

pfff, that guy

he's not going to touch it, gotta use his time wisely like getting those fenders cut for some 40s and axles moved outward

:D

This blazer looks a lot like a local GMC Jimmy, same kinda green too. Old couple, drive it on Sundays maybe, garage kept.
