Not that anyone will remember me, it's been 6 years since I sold my K5 and haven't really been on here much since, other than occasionally lurking on Greg's MAW. But, finally back, this time with a 79 K10 longed, 350/SM465. It's a beater for sure, but bought it for working, hauling stuff, you know- to use it like a pickup truck. Always liked this front end the best. Always wanted a single cab manual transmission pickup, too, so its nice to check off a few boxes on the list.

Welcome back!

Looks like your screen name isn't correct anymore..

:haha:

Looks like a good truck.

I’ll second the welcome back. There’s several “k10” builds that are fairly recent since you were here if ya get board

Ask questions. We’ll help
Just tell us, what is the direction for this “build” or just staying as is?

I'm going to do a very mild refresh of the interior- already ordered door panels, seat cover, dash cover. Then just some maintenance that has probably been overlooked for a while. New tires before winter. Probably a plow before then too. Unfortunately I have too many projects, and I really do just need a pickup, so probably no big build. Who knows though, the more time I spend on here the more likely I am to forget why I bought the truck and build it into what I'd really like...;)

Seat has a lot of tears but is surprisingly comfortable, drivers door panel has turned to dust, dash cap has lots of cracks. Most of the window seals look pretty dried out, but it doesn't leak. The rear slider gets jammed up on the seal and doesn't work smoothly, gonna figure out how much of a pain that will be to replace- I'd like to have that working properly. Carpet is acceptable for a work truck. Radio is non functional. All other electronics/gauges work. I think this truck has sat outside for a long time, and the sun has done a number to it. But despite all that, theres no significant rust on the whole thing, just some surface rust, at least that I've found so far.
