Re: I\'m getting old i guess...need wanker exhaust help

just bolt on headers, 3 inch aluminized pipes and 40 series flowmasters, mine is not loud at all /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Man....i hope when I get a K5 I don't have to have it THAT quiet. The 40 series flows that are on my truck are the quietest things I've had thus far. I love the tone, but I wish it was louder, I can't hear it in the cab at all.

rip out the carpet and spray in some linex. It'll liven things right up for ya! /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Too loud for me. I think the cab of the K5 does a LOT to create a soundbox effect, and you're sitting right inside that sounbox. It's a very low toned kind of droning, doesn't really hurt the ears as much as cause a headache. I have thick pile carpet on the floor too, but no rear seat. I don't like real loud anyway, this is not the sound I was looking for. I'll end up putting something different on there. The Dynomax race muffler sounds like a good bet, but I'd like to hear a K5 with a 70 and a single 3" before I buy another muffler.

Here's a link to my photo album, theres lot's of exhaust pics in there.
