I'm getting the guts of a 14-bolt to put in my 14-bolt.. any tips

Other than getting the shims on the pinion support is there anything I should ask for before he disassembles the carrier and pinion support and ships them off to me? Something to make the install easier?

Assuming all the bearings are in-tact and good... I should be able to just plug and play, with just ensuring a good pattern on the ring gear right?

Are there any parts I should get now to prepare like extra shims? or tools?

14 bolts are easy but it's not exactly plug and play, here's a really good writeup.
