Re: I\'m in, I\'m IN!!!!!!!!!

good job on gettin in.
im sure you will have a great time. those events are fun ass hell.

your best chance at winning one of these events would be just finishing every obstacle and not completely beating the crap out of your rig. good luck /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

With the new carb I have damn near had it on its side and it still runs great.

Now that I'm not fighting to keep it running, I have a LOT of control over my rig (in fact, so much, that I'm starting to love the 4 speed more than ever).

I have three spotters, all of which are great guys. I can't wait!!!!!

Don't worry about my rig guys, IT WILL BE READY!

Oh, and on the bigger tires thing, there is only one size of TSLs made that are bigger than mine and still within the tire size restriction. I don't know why I'd need or even want bigger tires. A set of Boggers for the rear would help in the mud pit, but you're prohibited from changing tires during the comp so I'd have to run them the whole time.

Cool!!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Tire restriction...I though you could as big as 44's... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I sent an apology to Tim about my post and deleted what I said. I still feel that what I said is true for the most part, but I should have kept my mouth shut, and for that I apologize.

Cool dead dude. Glad to see you apologize. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Sure.

My rig started life as a 1984 Chevy K10 (duh) shortbox with 117.5" wheelbase.

It has a stock 350 with a Q-jet, Edelbrock intake, melling high volume pump, Dynomax headers and duals with Flowmaster 40s.

Trans is a SM465 4 speed, recently rebuilt by Krazie87K5/Dan, with hydraulic clutch. Clutch is a Zoom diaphram 12" model.

Transfer case is a NP 205 with a 1350 on the rear output and Jesse's High Angle 1350 CV up front. I have a 1350 series rear driveshaft and front driveshaft is Jesse's 1350 CV with a 1410 joint on the front pinion.

Front axle is a Dana 60 with a lockright locker and 4.10 gears and Sky Crossover steering, I have a WTO Redneck Ram box but no ram as of now. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Front suspension is a set of Superlift 6" springs with ORD greasable bushings that are throughly broken in /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif and a set of ORD zero rates and the front axle is moved forward 1.5". I moved my shackle mounts and run 7" or so long shackles and have Ford towers and 12.5" travel Gabrial shocks.

Rear axle is a corportate 14 bolt full floater with a Detroit, 4.10s, discs, and shaved. Lift is accomplished by an Echobit shackle flip, all bushings are new, rear Gabrials are the same as the fronts in stock mounts (wish I had time to inboard them now).

There is no body lift on my rig, so total lift is right around 6". I have KMA bumpers front and rear and a Milemarker E-12000 winch up front. Tires are 38.5x16x15 TSLs on black steel 15x10 wheels.

Its definitely hammered to hell too with the entire left side trashed from a flop and dents in every panel including the hood and roof. It is a real trail truck for sure.

Best of all, it's street legal, which allows me into this competition.

As to the gag order question, I do not know. They are allowing spectators for this event so I doubt there will be a gag order. I was so exited when Jon Thompson called me that I failed to ask. I'll obviously let you guys know whatever info I can share when the competition is over.

I am definitely hoping to keep breakage to a minimum but if the shi* hits the fan I will have an entire spare D60 front axle with me along with every other spare part I can find, a generator, air compressor, welder, tools, jacks, etc.

Re: I\'m in, I\'m IN!!!!!!!!!

WFO is the wheelin' group I'm claiming. UFO is somewhat of an inside joke from one of my recent trial runs, part of the "W" rubbed off so the guys were yelling, "UFO" when I was hitting an obstacle pictured above.

Joez,

What about bringing your ass down Sunday and helping any further wrenching efforts? I've got a few loose ends to tie up before the comp.

Re: I\'m in, I\'m IN!!!!!!!!!

Congrats TIm!

Whens the comp? I'd love to try and make it out to watch that and cheer you on.
