I\'m starting to get excited/motivated (pics of my project)

After sitting in my garage for over a year in various states of dis-assembly, I'm finally starting to put together my '80 GMC.

I finally got it sitting on all 4 tires last night, along with rear disc brakes and an Echobit shackle flip. I still have a long ways to go, but my goal is to be driving it by March 15th, a day many of my friends and I are going off-roading.

Here are pics of the truck, from when we first got it in 1994 to how it sits today: http://community.webshots.com/album/64150410lvyWjp

And for anyone who knows about cam specs...what do you think about this cam?

Man that thing is lookin sweet. is that a new paint job also?

I'm painting it as I go along. It's one of those "looks good from a distance" paint jobs.

In 1996, I painted it blue and white with K-Mart $0.99/can blue spray paint. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now, in 2003, I wanted to keep about the same tone of blue, but my sprayer is clogged and I dont have the money for real paint...and Wal-Mart $0.90/can blue was a shade too dark, so I had to go back to K-Mart and buy the same spray can blue for $1.09/can. Darn inflation. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Yes, I am cheap...but as long as it looks decent from a distance I dont care. At least it won't be multi-colored (although nothings wrong with that either), and I wont
be that devastated when I scratch the paint while cruising
up the mountain backroads. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
