i got 90 model k5 with tbi350, sm465, n241, and 3/4ton axles with 36in iroks. im thankin bout sellin it and buyin my buddys k10 short box thats got a 454, sm465, np205, 1tons and 35 bfg mts. what would you guys do im havin a hard time decidin what to do.
 
Buy the K10, swap the 454/465/205 into the K5. Throw the D60 under it. Install the your old parts onto the K10 and sell it.

That was my first idea. What format fits your needs better? a k5, or an open truck bed? Buy truck, keep the good parts in whatever rig you need.
 
if ima buy the k10 i gota sell the k5 first, and im thankin that the truck bed would benafit me to. i just wonted sum more opionions if yall know what i mean

I'd buy the SWB and ditch the K5 with a quick sale. Keep the SWB and everything it has.

You will be much better off with the SWB than the K5. The SWB weighs a LOT less than the K5 and that means more power-to-weight ratio. I've said this over and over, time and time again. With that 454, you should be able to get around pretty good and better than a heavy K5 would.
 
nsxxtreme, big blaze is obviously spelling phonetically. He's spelling the words just the same as he pronounces them in person. That's exactly how we sound down here. If you don't like it, you can shove it - but you don't like it; you love it!:D

Spelling doesn't usually bother me I glossed over all the other mis-spellings. Not everyone is the best speller I understand that. It is just this post is so hard to read, "thinking" isn't even a hard word to spell LOL.

I don't know to many people that do a lot of thankin. :D

thanks for havin my back brother. yea that is how we talk down here, and i wouldnt have it any other way. i thought it was bout the trucks on here and not dam english class. **** like this is why ive just quit postin on pirate

Well, je parle francais, homeys! I also speak "Southernese," - it's my native dialect, and I say it's about time everyone around here learned how to interpret what we're saying. I don't have any problem understanding what people from Colorado or anywhere else is saying, so why can't anyone understand me? They had college courses for Ebonics in the '90s, so why not have a class in "Southernese" so some other folks can learn it before it disappears?

As far as posting on Pirate, those guys are a bunch of smart butts that just want to make fun of every little thing. That's what I like about this site - you can just be yourself and ask any question you want and not feel like a moron for it. If anyone does get out of control, they have good moderators to put the jerks in place.

Me personally, if i have a hard time reading or understanding someones post because of bad spelling or punctuation i just back out of the post and don't respond. It is alot easier than trying to make my way through it.

Don't take it to seriously even I butcher some words, just not that bad ;) I'm not sure what I would do if someone came up to me and started talking like that, probably fall over laughing.
