I'm sure most of you don't go to Glamis or may even know where it is at, but what is happening there WILL affect us all. We are lossing land in Glamis at a rapid rate. After it is closed, the Sierra Club(sorry for cursing),as well as others, will start atacking other lands. May be your favorite trails even. If we all don't start fighting now, sooner or later places like Mohab will even be closed.
Please go to http://www.petitiononline.com/glamis/petition.html and sign the petition. Glamis may not effect you, but sooner or later, you will loss your land if you don't start fighting now. Please take a few minutes and sigh the petition and go through http://www.glamisonline.com. This, in the long run, DOES affect us all.

However I cannot stress enough, we all must write letters to our senators, our congressman, our reps, and the president.
MOST OF ALL, everyone should check the land use area of this board, it IS important to all of us.

Re: IMPORTANT: Land Issues

This is why it is important to read the Land Use board, EVERYONE! The area to be closed next maybe your favorite spot. I also urge you all to join a club, or at least one of the large orgs like United (UFWDA), there is a link on my site. If you don't want to join a local club you can join as a member at large. Steve was trying to form a net club as well. Last, like Dan said, keep those calls & letters coming to your elected officials. You can call toll free to the Capitol switchboard @1(800) 648-3516.

Re: IMPORTANT: Land Issues

Just a word about signing the petition. It is my understanding that this petition is veiwed by the public, and more importantly, by those who will decide the fate of Glamis. So when posting a comment on the petition, please take a minute to THINK about what you are going to say! Writing things that bash, threaten and belittle the opponent, only makes us sound like a bunch of uneducated, violent, bastards, who want nothing more than to destroy every piece of land, kill every animal, and shoot every person in our paths! This is faaaar from the truth! Posting things like... "thats where I get all of my p%ssy" or "f*ck those green a$$holes", is never going to help or cause!!! We are outnumbered as it is, so like I said, please think first! And thank you for taking the time to sign the petition!

Re: IMPORTANT: Land Issues

Hey HIHUM, good call! I agree 100%. Sarcasm is good though! It's the little digs that hurt the most.
