When I was in high school listening to Van Halen etc, I used to think their music sucked.
But now that I'm an old fart, their chit 's pretty cool :D !

Bubba, what's your address?

So I can send you flowers   !!

That clip just made my day :woot: :woot: :woot: !!

All together now:

"Rio"

Moving on the floor now babe you're a bird of paradise
Cherry ice cream smile I suppose it's very nice
With a step to your left and a flick to the right you catch that mirror way out west
You know you're something special and you look like you're the best

Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand
Just like that river twisting through a dusty land
And when she shines she really shows you all she can
Oh Rio, Rio dance across the Rio Grande

I've seen you on the beach and I've seen you on TV
Two of a billion stars it means so much to me
Like a birthday or a pretty view
But then I'm sure that you know it's just for you

Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand
Just like that river twisting through a dusty land
And when she shines she really shows you all she can
Oh Rio, Rio dance across the Rio Grande

Hey now woo look at that did she nearly run you down
At the end of the drive the lawmen arrive
You make me feel alive, alive alive
I'll take my chance cause luck is on my side or something
I know what you're thinking I tell you something I know what you're thinking

Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand
Just like that river twists across a dusty land
And when she shines she really shows you all she can
Oh Rio, Rio dance across the Rio Grand
Her name is Rio she don't need to understand
And I might find her if I'm looking like I can
Oh Rio, Rio hear them shout across the land
From mountains in the north down to the Rio Grande
Do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do

Just because everyone else is doing it, does that mean it's right? You should have educated yourself on the law.

As for being special, it's something that is noticed about folks who's first claims tend to be about who they are friends with.
AND YOU TRUCK IS 100% LEGAL?

all i was saying is that at least i know the right people to answer my questions. you can't tell me that you've NEVER called in a favor from a friend.

if you want to clumb up on you pulpit and preach, preach to someone else.

I agree with this statement 100%. You have a nice truck. Incredibly nice, as a matter of fact, maybe in the top 10% (from what I can see from the pics) of modded fords in quality and craftsmanship. That being said...

I think the thing everyone may be either overlooking or just not saying-I can see where the officer is coming from. Although you may have the best there is to offer in suspension, and everything may be 110% dead nuts on as far as installation, the COG on that vehicle is just plain out of control. In an emergency maneuver situation, that truck is infinitely more likely to roll or get out of control than 99% of vehicles on the road. It's just too big to be safe at freeway speed. THAT is where the officer is coming from, and I agree. I would be terrified to be on the road in front of, next to, or behind that thing, just because of the potential for things to get ugly.

I don't know how the officer treated your wife, what was exactly said. Maybe he was a jerk, maybe not. But the fact remains, it's his job to keep the public safe, and I can see his point of view.

wow, i just skimmed the last few pages and don't know what the heck is going on with the whole duran duran thing. ha. somebody needs to post the vid for "girls on film". it's odd um, interesting (i don't think there's a horny smiley)

1. Nope. It doesn't leave the driveway.:wink1:

2 & 3. Not preaching and no, I don't usually call in favors when I've violated the law.

Going through life doing the bare minimum to get by is not the way to go about it. Furthermore, using the excuse that everyone else is doing it is not the way to go. If you had done some research on your own, you probably wouldn't be having this little problem right now.
