For a lot of folks, and it shows most definitely in this thread, they could really care less what the law states about stuff and a lot of them have absolutely no need to actually research it and think about it before they go "click, click, tappity tap tap" on some keyboard. Of course, there's always the "I'm friends with so and so, this that and the other" comments that they make like they're someone special. It's those reliances they possess that brings up questions about their personalities.

i know that was very childish and i hate that about my personality. i let it get the best of me and i'm sorry i did that. just seems like you have wanna make everyone seem small cause you "have" more knowledge. we all don't have all that so called "book lernin" that everyone else has

Claiming ignorance is no excuse. Furthermore, it's not book learning. It's life learning. Something that some of us see on a daily basis. Someone doesn't need some piece of paper saying they learned human psychology for four years to understand what humans do in certain situations.
 
well i apologized. it was just a joke in the beginning. that's why i laughed. didn't know people would take it personal. it's just the internet. i'm nowhere near living the life you have. you have how many years on me? time to calm down.... woooosahhh

This is an incorrect statement.

No one can make anyone do anything,(i.e. no one can make you mad. You chose to be mad).

It's an attitude process. You choose how you react, no one else can do that for you.

Your statement is more of a reflexion of yourself, rather than what your intended original meaning was.

FYI, when i bought that truck, i went throught and double check every bolt on the suspension and every component on the truck to make sure it was 100% and THEN took it to the dealer and had THEM check every inch of the truck as well. the safety of my family is #1.
the reason i didn't worry about the height of the truck is that there are ALOT of trucks around here as tall or taller than mine. there are VERY few people on here who ARE 100% within government regulations. is your's?
and as far as who i know.... i definately DON'T think i'm someone special and if you actually knew me, you would know that to be the case.
my issue with this whole situation is not that he pulled her over, which he had every right to do. but that he impounded it instead of giving a citation, which is standard procedure. i really don't care if he doesn't like the looks of my truck or rednecks. that's his choice in life. but DON'T punish me beyond what would NORMALLY be done because of it.

Just because everyone else is doing it, does that mean it's right? You should have educated yourself on the law.

As for being special, it's something that is noticed about folks who's first claims tend to be about who they are friends with.
