I took apart the truck a day before apple picking with family,anyway how do you take the master cylinder pushrod out? I cant figure out the spring retainer. It is a 91 K3500 4wd dually with hydroboost. thanks

It's been about a year since I replaced my hydroboost unit but if I remember correctly it was just a push and turn thing. The spring retainer has tabs that line up with the grooves, then once they clear you turn it so the tabs lock in. To get it out the retainer on mine was pretty flimsy...a small screwdriver to get in there was enough to bend it slightly and pop it out, I just straightened it before putting it in the new unit.
