In Dash Switch That Operates Tail Gate Window

If needed, I may have a part number for the switch I bought about 2 years ago. Similar to the one mentioned above: Returns to center when released. Works fine. I'll look for it.

That switch is designed for AC. It is hard to tell what that switch is rated for or how long it will last in a DC application since the internals will be constructed and designed defferently. Arcing when contact is made will be different, voltage gap will be different, heat dissipation will be different, etc. Best to find one that's designed for DC.

I have the same/similar switch and it is doing fine so far. I've had it for a couple of years. I knew it was designed for AC when I bought it but felt it wasn't going to do any damage to the electrical system or window motor. It operates like the stock one so no complaints. I'll get a pic of it tomorrow.

If this part does cause any problems I'll post up.

If you're unsure, yes, buy a stock replacement.
