I'm currently running my shocks in more or less the factory locations. I was considering inboarding my rear shocks similar to those below.
I'd be putting in a crossmember above the axle and using shock mounts like those below for the axle. I'm having issues with the geometry. With leaf springs, the axle doesn't truly move in a vertical plane, it's more of an arc. However, with a setup like I've described, the shocks would be fixed in a single plane with only the bushings providing give to move in the arc. How is everyone else doing this without wearing out bushings or breaking bolts?
