Indy 4x4 jamboree *lots of pics*

Here's a picture of the suburban from the back. The picture is from the 2006 show...I didn't make it this year.

I think the CORR trucks didn't show up this year because the Baldwin crew bought and moved the CORR series to california. They have two races a year by my house. They now call it WSORR (world series of off road racing). More of a midwest series.

I heard from a guy that runs tough truck that the reason CORR doesnt come to Indy anymore is the payout wasn't high eneugh. They couldn't afford it anymore. I believe CORR has been gone from Indy for at least three years maybe longer.

On the yellow and orange Chevy, is that 2 diff center sections to lower the drivetrain?

Those are rockwell axles. Thats how they come.

He's talking about the transfer case drop contraption, I saw it at Indy a few years ago and yes those are diff center sections he used.

I miss Indy, we used to go every year but that slowed way down after kids came. Now that they're bigger we're seriously thinking of going next year (probably drag the Blazer too).

also that heroes truck has been seen alot.. NICE truck...

also what tires are on that red truck? looks like an interesting tread pattern....
Im gonna assume you were talking about the silver truck (they are both fords ;) ) it was a f-650 or 750.
And I'm not sure what kind of tires those were, but they look like they have been grooved

what kind of tires are these? grooved Iroks?
Those are heavilly grooved gumbo monster mudders. The owner said it took about 60-70 hours to groove all four!!

here's a close-up:

Thats dumb...I bet you could get something that looks darn close to that starting with a TSL...

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. Looks good, but I agree w/ Avery, Kinda waste of time.

Well I think the guy knew what he was doing. It was a professional mud racer. He said these are the best tires hes ever used in the mud. And that jeep had some serious horsepower. It was just as loud as some of the monster trucks there that weekend

I don't deny he knows what he's doing but I just think its a waste of time and money... check out this close up shot of an irok...cut out some of the center lugs and it looks almost exactly the same :)
