Inexpensive rear bumper

I know there are a lot of bumper pics out there, just thought id show my current project.
materials:
2 x 6 x 5/16 x 78" C-chanel price-46$
1/4 x 2 x 10' flat stock 18$
1/2 x 1.5 grade 8 hardware priceless

keep in mind im not done yet, going to install 2 2.5" driving lights for back up lights, and move the brake lights to the ends of the c-chanel, then tack some expanded metal to protect the lights, still have to weld on the clevis mounts and maybe add a 2" reciever to get better departure clearance.

Let me know what ya think. Anyone see anything they would do different?

looks good, basic and beefy, just don't make it too wide, don't want it sticking out and catchin on stuff. I'd taper in the ends too.
 
I made one the same for my '89 Burb, that I now want on my '76 Blazer. My concern with the receiver is that there is very little space between the bumper and the gas tank. I don't think I'll ever be able to use it to haul with. Hopefully at the very least it will be a good mount for my winch on the multi mount.

I agree , looks good but the ends that way could cause a problem.
plus i am glad you mentioned about putting the lights in it becouse ii dont see the duct tape last ing too long on the left side. :D
