Input/advice needed on Trans rebuild kit.

I'm about to rebuild my TH400. I want a good solid kit.
I've been looking seriously at this kit

I have not seen that company. I have been building quite a few 4l60's lately & this is a good price if it is quality parts.

You can probably do a lot better by calling your local Transtar distributor and ordering a master deluxe kit and a shift kit. The Alto red clutch is a good race clutch but not as long lasting in an on road environment as a good Raybestos or Borg Warner friction plate.

You're going to need the trans dist anyway since there will probably be something else you need that doesn't come in the kit.

My pricing at Transtar is not good enough to buy all those parts that cheap. The 5 pinion planetary sets is what kills the deel locally for me.



EDIT: I was speaking about the 4l60 kits. I got to looking at those & forgot you were talking about 400's.
