INSERT TRANSFORMER SOUND HERE! Juanblzer's Transformer k5--truggy--to buggy build up

thanks... she is the best project I ever started :)

the zuk is fun as hell and I drive it to the trail and back or trailer it... its just waay to much fun. I actually have been driving it to work since the weather has been so nice here. It sports a bigger suzuki sidekick engine, full cage, yj springs, welded rear diff and runs 33x10.50 km2s.

I have a pair myself...agreed the best "project" ever!

'Zuk sounds like a great low buck combo. The Sidekick engine is a great idea, takes care of one of the really weak spots on the the Samurai. Those little rigs were really popular on the West Coast when I lived there...so much so they were generally too expensive to bother with.

Yeah nice to see you back Juan.

They just passed a street legal full size UTV drive on the street law here, So I wont have to move to AZ to drive my burb on the street.

Awesome to hear! Hopefully my truggy will have all its programming /tuning issues figured out so I can take it and my little family (girlfriend /daughter) to Blazer Bash. Nothing hardcore this year. I'm going to do some of the "easier trails".

almost ready to wheel:

list to complete:
repair track bar
skin boatsides
mount shifter for tcase (cable from jb)
mock up windshield
probably get a new battery

This build is insanely amazing. Given me tons of inspiration and insight for my build. If you're ever in the Central Coast, Ca area give me a holler!

Updates:
Sometimes life can be insane right? We just had our second child. Arya saoirse enriquez was born July 16

On the buggy front... Rear suspension was redesigned to work better with the extreme diet of the new tubing / drivetrain.
Things left to do:
Windshield needs to be fabbed up (I'm thinking two piece flat glass)
Tune the coilover shocks and bypasses

Then (when baby arya is old enough) fit a suspension bench in the rear / redesign fuel cell and remount spare / fridge mount.

I want to get to blazer bash this year but I need to sell my Sami first

a huge shout out to Jesse at rsidedown.com for finishing and fine tuning everything on this build. stoked to get it in the dirt... though I'm bummed to miss bb15. I'm going to try to make easter jeep safari though

Looks good! I know you have had this rig for a long time now.

holy crap the 6.0 flat out rips! Got it in the dirt at a place called Sycamore Creek. Had my 5yr old with me so I had to take it easy... but good jeezus what fun!. Oh and no trailer queen here. Drove it out to the trail and back... needs a windshield :)
