I installed a set of ORD competition motor mounts on my 1991 Chevy V3500 Crew Cab. They where kind of a bitch installing motor mounts with the engine it, but I got it done. My cheap Chines clamshell motor mounts that I installed only about 15,000 miles ago when I installed my new crate engine where already dry rotted, cracked, and crushed. The new mounts do make the truck feel a little more stiff at first ride...kind of like when you change out rubber body mounts for polyurethane mounts.

I did the diy4x mounts (similar design as ORD) and I was completely shocked by how much more the engine torqued the frame. Turning left from a stop sign I thought my truck was gonna lift a tire.

One thing cool about these mounts is they step up the main support bolt from a 1/2" bolt to a bigger 9/16" bolt.

I did the Diy mount too. Sure raised my engine up, even thought my mounts weren't bad. Got all my angles much better, and poly at all 3 points.

It’s the way to go if you’re flexing often. The Energy Suspension stuff is good for the street but not serious off-roading.

I had brand new clam shell mounts sink within a couple trips out. Went DIY4x and stock Delco at the trans. Been great for years.

My square body crew cab is a rust free Southwest cream puff that only see's light to moderate wheeling, but even at that it is bouncing up and down harder than a street only driven vehicle. The engine in my truck does not have a whole lot of power, yet the left side mount was completely thrashed since the Chevy engine rotates clockwise the left side mount is the one that gets the most abuse. The old clamshell mounts where worn out enough to have about 1/2" free-play in them before they restrained the engine. These new motor mounts are going to have 0" of free-play before they restrain the engine.
