Small block stuff did have changes for 1-piece rear main seal in 85, and heads with the TBI intake in 87. So, it is safer to stock with TBI stuff if you don't know interchange, 87-95ish.

this is true, but you could bolt a whole 1970 lt1 350 into a 1992 Blazer.

I would not call that a direct interchange. That would be a swap that drives other changes in flexplate, wiring, fuel system, etc.

Since we’re stretching the boundaries of GMT400 engine swap option interchangeability a little bit why not go for the gusto and add some volume - at least it will bolt up in the same place…

NOTE: for the original poster - we are just kidding with these “other” motors.
