I'd say the urge to try and keep it like that would be too great.Cool truck. Cool story behind it. I could never own anything like that. The urge to drive it would be to great.
the front tires seem like they are leaned in at the top though.
Take a closer look at the GVWR sticker. Look real close at the edges. Looks like it was masked off for paint of some sort. If it was never touched up, repainted, etc., the lines of the sticker would be much more straight and crisp.Call me a cynic, but I don't believe 10% of that story that goes with the truck. It is nice, but my opinion is that although ordered with a strange option combo it's not factory.
I'd want to see some documentation on the build. If it truly was built that way there'd be a paper trail to go with it.

If I was a betting man (thats a hell of a spread!I agree. Also, the story on the 1970 460 that was installed while on the assembly line? With a comp cam? And headers?
D50 TTB's did have a leaning tire problem, but you never saw it at 5400 miles. If this truly had just 5400 miles and this truck was a "true time capsule" those tires would be dead straight.
It's a great build, but that's what I believe it to be is a build.

), I'd say the builder probably rolled the odometer back to 000000 to start the trucks life back over as a "new" one.Twin I-beam Dana 50... silly suspension concept.
Yep, agreed. Not the brightest bunch of engineers Ford had at that time. Not silly.... HORRIBLE! I had a full size Bronco with Twin Traction Beam and IT SUCKED! I cannot count the number of ways it SUCKED! I invested a ton of time and money to make improvements, and in the end, it STILL sucked.
Never been so glad to get rid of a vehicle in my life. Thats not Ford bashing.. its TTB bashing!

Can you say "eating tires"?
