how are those speakers and electric windows getting along? I want to do speakers in the doors but thought E-window motors were in the way.

Speakers

I haven't mounted speakers yet. I have a feeling I will have a conflict that may mean building that bottom door panel out a bit to make it filt properly.

Headliner plastic and trim pieces

After a long work induced hiatus I'm back at it again. This weekend I redid the headliner and painted the interior trim pieces. I got a little over a yard of pleather from the fabric store and some loctite spray adhesive for the headliner. Rustoleum all purpose satin finish spray paint for the trim. Turned out great. I'll post pics soon.

Good News Bad News

Was intending to finish off the interior with side panels however I got sidetracked with a little rust issue. I guess I can't complain but even desert trucks (yes San Diego is still the desert) have rust. Lost the pictures of the rust before the fix. Good news is that it only took a weekend to sort out. Got the template for the side panels done as well.

The dash pad and seat belts are on back order so now it's off to SoCal Suspension in El Cajon to get some much needed suspension upgrades including 2.5" all spring lift, new steering box, new tie rods, bilstein shocks and other parts. The old steering was pretty sloppy and the springs are definitely sagging. Probably not going to go above 33" on tires so I think 2.5" is more than enough to accommodate them without any trimming.

This is exactly the lift setup I'm going to run. Tuff Country is the set I'm going with. Can't wait to see how it looks on your rig. I to only want to run 33" tires.

Truck is looking good so far! Subscribed!

Headliner

The headliner was a little tricky. I had to redo it but luckily the material was able to be saved. It on nice and good now.

Rust fix pics

Just applied the final coat of paint after my rust remediation project this last weekend.
