If this rig has the factory optional dual front shocks you could remove the forward shock and see if that helps with ride quality.

The guy I bought it from mentioned something about this being a hd 1500 blazer. He said he had replaced some suspension parts and they didn't fit, thus he had to get the hd parts. I've never heard of such a thing and it's not listed on the original window sticker either. You guys heard of such a thing?

I just went out and checked, no dual shocks up front. Guess I could take a leaf out, but that may be a bit much. What is the standard leaf count? I've got 3 in the front and 6 in the back. Blocks in the back as well.

I bet you've got the stock rear springs with blocks.

The front...the guys can tell you. It's been discussed before. The EZ Rides are pretty popular and known for their flex, but the HD's are a bit heavy for a truck like yours. I believe I heard the HD's are just the EZ Rides with an extra load leaf.
