Introduction..

And I had a spare heater core I would have thrown in if I knew it went bad.

It's all good man hopefully when it gets out the shop heater/ac works horn wiper cruise all that good stuff will be working getting the tires swapped over to the 3 other 15x8 all new shocks front and rear tune up new belts oil change transmission fluid filter change and new radiator to fit the original brackets $$$$$ but once it gets out should all be good .... O yea also fixing the window motor on the rear hope to have that going up ad down again I'll keep u updated

Do yourself a favor, only install two shocks on the front axle, not all four. Use only the longer shock on the front axle.

Martin

Why is that Martin ? I'm not asking to be a smart ass I'm asking because I really have no clue Kenny was telling me same thing ... Shop looked at it and said it had the quad shock setup up front ? If I know why I should only go with the 2 longer up front I can better explain to them thanks

Its really not needed to have the other two short shocks on there. I bought a lift like you from Rough Country, put the four shocks on and almost rattled my teeth out. The two short ones are just simply not needed.

As far as the shackle flip rear and rough country front, I just went to this combo. I LOVE the way it drives compared to the all spring lift. It's a lot smoother even with the front RC springs. I do need new shocks, but I think you are going for a good combo here. I also run 37's.

I think he is keeping it stock height for now. The main reason for using two shocks up front instead if four has to do with how much shocks have improved over the last few decades. You can get the best performance out of a single, quality shock over two cheap ones.

Okay thanks makes sense !!... And yes stock height for now plans are to do the 6 in rc lift shackle flip rear and 37s eventually ....

What they ^ said, plus, no one is really selling a set of shocks valves to work together one each side in a quad shock setup. They are just selling you two generic shocks meant to be run as singles.

Quad shock are for guys with chromed leaf springs :sign9:

Im running es9000 pro comp shock which have 14" of travel and They seem to do really well. I had to get ford shock towers to make use of the travel but there totally worth it. I think they were about $45 a piece through summit. Its a great starting point if you want to flex and use the leaf springs to there full potential.

Just left shop they've got her all broken down goin through everything front and rear axles all have new fluid transfer case new fluid oil tranny ... Front end got the new shocks cv joints there getting her all ready distributor tune up going through it all can't wait to get her out and just drive it !!!... Post up pics when I get her back

Did you convince them to only use a single shock on the front end?

Martin

Yea we went ahead and went with the single shock up front I'll grab pics when I can and start a build topic up as soon as I can get more detailed pics of everything

No reason that this can't be your build thread. Edit your first post and change the title to something awesome! :)
