Introductions & Greetings

Hey everyone, I just retired from the Army after 21 years and picked up a 1986 Jimmy 4 x 4 as my retirement project (I always wanted one when I was a kid). Love this site and love restoring this Jimmy!

Hey guys, My name is Budd. Im pickin up an 87 K5 this week, cant wait to start messin with her. Ive got a set of weld scorpios in the garage 16.5x12s and Im hopin to pick up a set of 35 for them. Plannin on running an 8" lift with crossover steering. Should be a fun little toy.

Hello. My name is Ryan and I live in South Florida. I just purchased my 3rd K5 yesterday and she is a beauty. My first one was a '90 GMC Jimmy 4x4, and my second was a '86 Chevy Blazer 4x4. I am now the proud owner of an '89 Chevy Blazer 4x4 with 41k miles. The truck is awesome and I found it on craigslist 5 blocks from my house. An older gentlemen posted it Sunday, I went and saw it late Monday, and came back Tuesday to buy it. It is two tone black and silver with gray interior. The only problem I found with it was the driver side vent window was no good and had silicon sealing it shut. Low and behold i looked in the back seat and sitting there in all its glory was a brand new in the plastic GM parts vent window. I'm even happier with my purchase now that I know that window is a $400 part! I am going to try to include a picture of my lovely lady.

Sounds like a great find. What did you have to give for it?

Just a quick message about CFM-Tech.. I ordered Items from them on the 12th of December.. I have not received any shipping information and they will not return your phone calls or messages.. Not sure how they even stay in business!! Just a heads up.

Hello, I'm Ryan out of Las Vegas. My first vehicle was a 1980 K5. I got rid of it a few years back after blowing the engine and then having some uncommonly bad luck with a crate motor that I put into it. I have recently got the bug to get a new one, and I think I will be going for one with the 6.2 Detroit Diesel in it. Hopefully I will be picking her up Monday or Tuesday and then the fun and mods will begin. I look forward to spending some time here.

Hello. My name is Rustam and I live in Azerbaijan, Baku (small country in east Europe ).

I have Military k 5 Blazer with 6.2 diesel (1985). I love chevy trucks, specially k5.
So i decide to build this lovely little monster for off road use.
Because I leave in small country, we have very limited quantity of old
American cars here. so there are no any cool new parts here. :( I was
looking for the company who will provide me with all new HD parts.

I searched internet and found Off Road design. we started this project with ORD 1,5 year ago.

I will open new thread in offroad design.

Nice to meet you all. Have a good day.
