Welcome from East Texas! I'm Working on my first build since 1965. (1984 Jimmy, 350, auto with cold blown' air). I'm a recovering Banjo Owner and Stand Up Bluegrass Bass Player. I'm a lot younger than you. I turned 68 in August. Do you know an easy way to get up off a creeper? ;-)

Hello my name is Alex and I'm new here to the forum. I recently bought a 91 k5 I've been after for a few years now. The owner recently blew a connecting rod through the oil pan and I figured ID offer him some money for it and he went for it. Picked it up for 1500 bucks. Now im trying to decide if I want to do a crate motor or a 6.0 Ls swap!

Just wanted to introduce myself and say I enjoy this forum. I live in Alabama, I joined I guess 9 years ago but never really posted. In that time life's been interesting. 5 kids, one with cerebral palsy that has come so far after surgeries etc. Owned 4wd's my whole life. Kind of got out of wheeling past several years. Last year I purchased a 85 suburban that my kids love. I'm still wrenching and trying to work some bugs out and that's what led me back to this forum. Lots of useful and helpful information. Hopefully I'll try and post my heep and how things are going soon. Y'all keep up the good work and have a blessed day! Also my pops still drives and hunts out of his ol k5.
Welcome to the board! I just saw your post, what part of the state are you in? There's a few spread around, I'm down in Mobile. there's a few members spread along the coast.[/QUOTE
I'm in Clanton, central part of the state.
Welcome to CK5, stop in and say hello, this is a great place to make your first post and tell us a little about yourself/truck.![]()

Welcome back!Hello all. I haven't been on since I sold my rusted out '75 for parts 10 years ago. I just picked up an '89 with an NV4500.
I kept my doubler, Ford Dana 60 and the 14 bolt from my old rig. I can't wait to get it in the new one.
I'll be on here a lot while I re-learn what fits and how to fix it.
Hello, I'm Travis. I'm originally from southern Missouri but currently live outside of Kansas City. I've wanted a K5 since I was about 13 and a about a month ago I finally got one. It's an 83 K5 Blazer Silverado and she needs lots of love. I'm looking into the premium membership and will probably end up doing it, I'll need the help with this resto. Anyway, I'd tell you more about my truck but I don't know much about it. I know it has a 350 out of an 84, but options wise, all the tags/ stickers are either missing, painted over or bleached out.
