Hi and welcome @Scoutluver
WelcomeHi Everyone,
It has been many years since I’ve been on this site and many life changing events. I’m resurrecting my 86 Suburban, affectionately know as the “Roo Shooter” by my friends, as I’m Australian, that’s short version of the story behind the name.
It has been in storage for 6yrs, if you can call it that, parked in a dirt patch with a fence around it. Past work included
Swapped in NV4500 with NP208, custom driveshaft, ARB overlocker, ORD 4” lift, 16” D Ring steel rims with Cooper Discover STT. Did some body work(more to be done), interior upholstery, replaced doors with electric window controls and that is as far as I got.
I need some recommendations for, auto electrician and body restoration shop in Longmont CO area. The Roo Shooter will be towed this week to Twin Peaks Diesel to have a general mechanical service and inspection. I no longer live in Longmont, so don’t have a workshop or a friend with one.
I appreciate any advice and also would like to say how much I value and appreciate the people on this site.
Cheers Justine

If you give me a heads-up when you are going to Moab, I may be able to meet up with you.Hello my Name is Matt. I have been building a wide range of cars since I was a kid. I grew up in a muscle car family, in a neighborhood filled with low riders. My first cars were VW‘s before I built a Z28 that I managed total on my 20th birthday. Pretty much was old Toyota off-road builds for the following couple of decades with a few low riders show cars and a Jeep. The last eight years I have built several 2500 Rams all sitting on 37-40” tires And a few more 60’s customs. I Just bought a 79’ Blazer to build with my son over the next 5 years, he just turned 11yo and so I bought his dream truck. As long as he keeps his nose clean and works hard I will give him the keys to this K5 on his 16th birthday.
I spend a lot of time the trails in a Moab, Colorado, Oregon coast and live with my wife and two kids in Montana.

Sounds good! It’s probably gonna be early springIf you give me a heads-up when you are going to Moab, I may be able to meet up with you.
