Introductions & Greetings

Thanks everyone! I'll be asking some wrenching questions in the appropriate areas here soon. MIGHT be taking the top off for the first time this weekend. With my strongest neighbors to assist. Nice weekend forecast I need to go for it.

My father passed away last month but passed me on his 1978 Cheyenne Bonanza Blazer. I'm looking to restore as much as I can. It's a really fun tuck.
Sorry to hear about your father. I hope the project serves you well and the restoration works as some needed garage therapy!

Welcome aboard

Hey guys new member here, names Kevin. I live up in washington state and currently have a few squarebodies in my fleet as well as some other vehicles using various squarebody parts ( frames axles etc.). The current runners are my 1990 v1500 suburban soon to be receiving 8 lug swap and an 85 c10. I also have a 77 k10 shortbox frame with 3/4 axles and a 49 willys pickup body on it that is in progress. Just here looking for ideas, help and to maybe be able to help others if i can. thanks

Oh you will fit in here just fine.

The Willy's is sweet, and we have 1 or 2 members with AMC AMX and or Javalin

New guy here. Picked up a 91 Jimmy a while back and have already found a lot of helpful info here on a few repairs it needed, starting with replacing the o rings on the power steering pump. Have a few more tasks to take care of and upgrades I want – seats, interior color change, a few odds and ends, small missing parts, etc. This site has a lot of great info and I’m looking forward to being a part of it. Love these trucks.

Well I posted in “the garage” like a noob introducing myself... but either way, here I am! Like the username shows I’m the idiot behind thek5factory page on IG where I currently do my s**tposting while I get myself more organized to be a bit more professional about my passion. As much as I play with GM trucks figured I better join the party over here. So bear with me while I get forums figured out

Forum isn’t too weird. Everything stays in chronological order a lot more. Lots of dudes here that know a thing or two though

It'll probably be a bit easier to navigate on my laptop. The ads covered up the link to register when I was on my computer so I started this process on my phone. Either way we'll get dialed in!

Hi new member here, my name is Jose I’m 24 and I live in Colorado. I have a 1986 Chevy k20 that my grandpa gifted to me in 2018 and I finished restoring it a little over 3 years ago. It’s got a crate 350 sm465 and np208 transfer case in it. It has stock 3/4 ton axles with 4.10s and a 4 inch lift on 35 inch tires. That truck is my baby! I also have a 1977 k20 that I bought 2 years ago. It has a stock 350 sm465 and np205 in it with a Dana 44 up front and a full float 14 bolt in the rear with 4.56 gear sitting on 33s. My next project is putting a 12v cummins in that truck, I’ve had the engine for almost as long as the truck just haven’t started the build yet. My dream build is a 69-72 blazer. This website helped me out a lot on my first build and I’m looking forward to my time here!
