Introductions & Greetings

I am usually a Jeep Guy but I just inhareted an 85' GMC K2500 Suburban with a Newly built 400 small block, Fresh 700R4, and a D60 front and 14bolt rear W a detroit locker both geared at 4.56, New 3" exhaust and fresh paint rolling on some new 37x12.5R16 TSL's. He put a whole lot of time and money into the rig and is the original owner so it is in prestine condition. He passed away at only 50 and loved the truck so he left it to me since I am in to 4x4's. I hope to honor him by finishing it off with Fuel injection and a few other odds and ends and keeping it in the family for many years to come. Plus now I got a tow rig for the Jeep and Bikes.

Yeah. Take your crappy 2WD stepside truck and be gone then. The $25 membership fee is working exactly like it should: Weeding out the wankers and retards. Buh-bye.

Craig,

I know it sucks getting these guys on here that talk crap right out of the shoot because of the meber fees, but we should probably conduct ourselves so as to not look to be the asshats here. This post might be the first a prospective new member looks at and replies like these might drive away a great person. We can let these guys go their own way without saying a word. Leaves us the more dignified

Hey, name's Tim, grew up in California, joined the Air Force, stationed in Florida, living in Iraq right now.... I have a beat up old K5 that was brought out to Florida from Texas, sooo it's fairly rust free.

It needs a new engine, that's on my list of things to do when I get back in the states.

My name is Kevin. My girlfriend got an '88 blazer from her dad after she totaled her car. don't really know much about whats been done to it other than an engine rebuild and exhaust and it has rancho shocks and pirelli scorpion A/t 31/10.5 tires on stock rims. I'm looking forward to working on this truck and hope her dad lets us keep it cuz damn i love it!:D

Hi all just bought my 85 K5 today drove it from Denver To Pueblo so it runs really good overall in good shape. I am new to 4 wheel drives but have done numerous street rods, imports, engine swaps in trucks and cars. so I know my way around a vehicle. my last project literally went up in flames. I was restoring an old cabin cruiser and it caught on fire days before being done. so i got this to keep me busy over the winter. by the way my name is Donald i'm 28 a graphic designer and I live in Pueblo.

Hello all,

My name is Bob and I'm from Belgium.
Found this forum because there aren't a lot of sites with information about chevrolet/gmc trucks in Europe.
I recently bought my gmc jimmy. He has a 3inch bodylift and I'am still figuring out witch springs are fitted. The tires are 35/12.5/15 bf goodrich mud. The electrical system is a complete mess. Probably it will need a complete new wiring harness.

Hopefully this site will give me all the info for fixing and upgrading my GMC

Greetings

Bob

Our Name is Mark & Lisa, We live in middle Tennessee, I got my wife in a little jeep cherokee, and she had a blast just playing in a field and on some small hills. So I found a 85 GMC Jimmy; Engine Semi- Built with 3 in Edelbrock intake and 1407 (750 cfm) Carb, looks like mostly stock frame ( 6 in lift ) sitting on 35/12.5/15 tires. Plenty to have fun with but "Needs More"!! So we joined to get help , Ideas and share with others when we succeed at upgrades.

Thanks Craig,

Today I'm bringing my truck to the garage, so they can bring it to the inspection station. They will check al the mechanical parts and driveline and stuff. Also emissions check up will be on the list. Problably I will get in trouble with the 35 inch tires and bodylift because that is not exactly legal in Belgium. They are getting very strict on these things now.

(p.s: I hope my English is good enough so you guys can read it.)
