well joined in 06, 115 degrees out here busted my front drive shaft stuck face first standing on the fire wall ,got a hot spot in the block all over from there..I was almost vertical ,cracked a cylinder ,,.,.BUT here i am .Im putin her back together so hello to everyone ..hope theres some real knowledge here..
 
Well, another new guy here. I just bought an 81 Blazer today actually. It is almost all stock with the exception of some ugly aftermarket wheels. It has a 305 in it (I know its small but I am not planning on doing any serious offroading). The truck itself looks pretty good, there is no rust on the body except for a small amount around the tailgate, although there is some rather shotty looking rust repairs done around the rear wheels. I guess thats about all there is to it, like I said its pretty much stock.
 
Yup, I bought it off of craigslist yesterday, I am picking it up from the guy tomorrow. And yes my avatar pic is from the craigslist ad, since I don't have the truck yet to take any pics I figured that would do for now.
 
hey new to being in ck5 grew up with chevy's played with ford's a little, (free ford escort from father in law and a powerstroke f350 7.3) looking into building 80's 3/4 ton sub with 4v53, allison, and divorced 205 for the wife. and a 70's crewcab dually with a 8v53 crammed into it some how, super 10 tranny, rockwell tcase? and some good axles, dual 14 bolts maybe? had to register to see everyones pics to get better ideas about what i want to do.
currrently have a stripped down and beaten 74 1/2 t 366 bb sm 465 np205 6 lug axle with an extra set of 3/4 t axle 4.56 detroit and posi. yard ornament/hillbilly status symbol, and yes its on jackstands.

We have a 1990 GMC Jimmy been a show truck since brand new my dad built her back in the day anyhow looking for some replacement parts hope you guys can help we had a tire blow and it was not pretty. anyhow take care
 
owned a '74 k5 through college, put nearly 100k miles on an already matured truck during that 4 years. smashed it up a few times and kept bolting it back together. sold it 12 years ago and i can't stop thinking about it. it needs to be replaced so i've been sharpening my pencil a bit here and i might have a few questions during my search; i'll have plenty more questions after i find it. i like to help out where i can too... cheers.

hi i am 22 i have a wife two little girl and am all about chevy trucks! im on my thrid 4 wheel drive i started with a 79 short bed 1/2 ton auto 350 but sold it for a down payment on my wifes car a month before are second little girl came. went 4 months and hit tax time and went after a truck for sale for two years. it was a 78 3/4 ton long bed 4 speed about 8" lift and packing 40" bais ply mudder(wore out) had a 350 bored up to a 400 and that truck had it right! but had a lot of fixin to do keep it for a year and gave up it had to be a daiy drive for about 7 months and was hard to fix drive and maintain on small budget. now i am driving a 85 k5 blazer stock 32"tires i want 4"or more lift and at last 35's and to keep it my daily driver!
 
hello, im rob form frackville pa. i am building an 83shortbed, currently changed to stepside. 350 .040 over, comp cams 535 lift 1.6 comp roller rockers, bowtie heads 2055 valves 67cc chambers, rpm edelbrock intake 750 holley double pumper, holley red fuel pump,diesel radiator, d60 and 14bolt both det locker. np465 and 205 case. 8 inch superlift 37 25.50 16.5 tsls, also drive daily a k30 military truck with a 60,00 mile 6.2 and turbo 400, with a 4inch and 35s....ttyl

Wher in Vegas do you live. I lived there for 14 yrs. Moved back to WI in Aug 2004. By the way, Welcome aboard.

Sin City as in Vegas, Welcome to the board. I lived in Vegas for 14 yrs. Moved back to WI in Aug 2004. Where abouts do you live there.
 
Hello all. I'm Ryan in Michigan. I've been hangout in the shadows for awhile finnaly decided to join. I've got an 87 K5 with a 355, 465/205, D44/14FF, 4.88's and the rear is welded, 36" military tires. Plans are to replace the rockers, rear floor and possibly the doors if they continue to rust at the rate there going now. I've also got 3 Camaros and a crotch rocket. Way to many projects/toys.

i have an 88 suburban with a 6 inch lift and 35s and a 77k5 no lift yet and alos a 75 3/4 longbed with 10 inches of lift and 39.5s

looking to upgrade membership soon but must get the wife on board
just bought an 80 K20 and suprised her with it,so it could take a bit
the fleet now is the 80 K20 Silverado, 85 K10 Silverado,90 V2500 sub
03 Xterra(wifes rig)and 07 honda accord(terrible on the trail)
