Hey everyone. My name is Jeff Georges, for the past year I've been a PGM Broker (Platinum Group Metals). Before that I was a project car builder for Year One. I did fabrication, wiring and EFI systems. I have a couple of later model Suburbans (1992 K2500 & 1997 K2500). The 1992 Suburban is more of an Expedition type vehicle, lower lift 33"x13.5"x16" Trxus STS tires, 16"x8" Soft 8 wheels, custom built front bumper with 10,000 pound winch, and the 454 has a Comp Cam, Edelbrock Intake, Hooker Headers, dual exhaust, yada yada yada. The 1997 I picked up a few months ago with a blown-up 7.4L Vortec. Since I didn't pay much for it I started the Solid Axle Swap, but I wanted to build it with a 4-link front suspension. I'm trying to do it on a budget, but I'll be changing things as I can afford to. The front Dana 60 came out of 1997 Dodge Ram 3500, I used the factory brackets on the housing (I beefed them up and had to move the upper link bars to the inside of the bracket to clear the frame). Becasue of the size and weight of the vehicle I built the link bars out of 2 1/2"x.375 DOM tubing and the threaded tube adapters are an interference fit (.010) into the tubing. The Flex joints are Currie Johnny Joints for the RH Joints and TeraFlex for the LH Joints. For the rear suspension I fabricated my own shackle flip brackets using the factory brackets to build a jig for them. And for tires it has Swamper TSL 39.5"x15"x15". To clear the 15" wheels in the rear I swapped to disk brakes on the 14BFF and used the Cadillac Eldorado calipers to keep it street legal. Most fo the fabrication work is done so know I'm pulling everything back apart and powder coating everything to help protect it, then I have to finish re-assembling the engine.
