My name is tim and I'm a 30 year old k5 fanatic!!I'm building an 89k5 right now as time and money allows.I've been a professional body and paint man since I was 16,this is the first blazer I've owned that has virtually no rust, when I bought it it had a six inch lift,33s,fuel injected 350 and 700r4.pretty much the same right now.I'm looking for a front 60 and a 14bolt ff rear if anyone knows of anything please let me know!also looking for a factory center console(red)anyways great to be on here if anyone has any body/paint/frame questions please feel free to ask!

my 2 cents

My name is Bill and i live in west jordan, utah (right south of salt lake city). My recent K-5 is a 1984 silverado with a 4 inch lift, 33 inch tires, accel igniton, headers, duel cats (full duel exhuast), and a whole bunch of shotty wiring. This is the second K-5 I have owned (1980 with a horrible body, 35 inch tires, no lift ... lots of cutting). I picked up my blazer for 300 bucks in it's current conditon primarly so i can get my 1990 grand wagoneer lifted and running a whole lot better. .... well, that's my story :)-

New member info. n a lil bit about myself n my rig

Hello everyone, my name's mike, im 22 and I live in MN (south of the T.C.) i finally purchased my first fullsize blazer which ive wanted since i was a kid. I bought a 78 blazer 4x4. I picked it up from a lady for $365 dollars and trailered it home 45 min. i pulled it off the trailer and pushed it up into the garage and got it running in about an hour. haha it runs great its got a 350 and came with pretty nice 33" A/T's, but i thought that was a pretty good start. So after getting it running i swapped in 3/4 ton axles, a dana 44 front with 3.73's and a corp. 14 bolt rear with posi. and 36" goodyear military tires. Its got about a 2" lift. but i want to make it bigger (6-9") and maybe just 38's or a lil bigger cause i love driving it daily. But anywho, does anyone on here know of any good clubs in MN that i could join and do some wheeling and club events??

71 chevy long bed

I live in ny but am planing to move to durango colorado after visiting for the holidays. I have a 71 chevy 4x4 1/2 ton 350 4speed sm465 and a 205 with 4.11 gears. I have some doner trucks with some nice parts. one has a nv4500 (94 6.5 turbo 1 ton single wheel) and a 3/4 ton 78 with a 350/400 203. a nv4500 swap is definitely in my first gens future money fill determine wheater it gets a doubler. my truck has no lift and i run 31 10.5 15 tires. I will wheel in moab and other 4x4 freindly places but dont want to be helpless with no lift on the trails. I WILL be driving this truck daily and dont want to make it a truggy. I have been a diesel mech for 12 years and am farmiliar with small blocks gears ect. I am looking forward to joining and helping out in return for info on locations for weekend wheeling park passes off limits places and dont dos.

Thank You ColoradoK5

I found my K5 blazer on the local crigslist. The person that I bought it from was not the original owner and had no idea what parts were installed on the truck. Thanks to this website Iv been able to answer most of the questions Iv had and have been able to identify most of the parts. Just wanted to say thanks :D

What's up guys? My name is Holtzy and I am in PA. Just got a 89 k5 blazer. I have been looking around here for inspirations/ideas on what I want to do with mine. It is all stock for now, we will see for how long. Cheers, Holtzy

Cut the top off into a full convertible. All the info is here on this site. We even have a guy who lives just north of Scranton who has an '89 Blazer and did just that. Came out pretty good.

Hello all, my name is Daniel from Louisiana. Been a member over on another site for a couple of years now, but decided to check out the other side for a while. Lots of good info here. I previously had a '93 extracab that evolved from a body lift & 35's, to a SAS with a d44 and 42's, to rocks and 52's. At that point I changed direction from mud to a more trail friendly with a lower suspension and removing some sheet metal. At the same time got another job with not a lot of time off and less time to build a rig and wheel a rig such as that. Recently purchased an '85 c-10, really clean truck. Got a 60-14 out back waiting on a conversion with all the factory 4x4 brackets and x-member. Plans are something I can actually drive and enjoy and slowly mold into a mild trail rig down the road. First one of these earlier models I have owned but feel confident with what I have seen here already that I can get some good guidance from u guys! Glad to be here.:D
