Introductions & Greetings

New guy here from TN

I have been a chevy guy all my life except for when it comes to diesel's:D, Been looking into K-5 blazers to turn into crawlers with the typical mods like 1 tons, doubler,EFI or propane,boatsiding,etc... Or a 2door tahoe with a sas.

Found a 92' GMC yukon with a sas,14b,d44,37's etc.. that I might buy soon and hopefully get another GM

My current daily driver/tow pig is a dodge cummins diesel with 450-500 hp at the wheels that I wish had a chevy body and interior

Howdy, have a 1995 Suburban...Mostly use it to tow and drive on the beach in spite of the 200,000 miles, extreme obesity, stock 3.42 gears with 35" tires and terrible gas mileage. It's pretty much how I bought the truck 4 years ago. I was broke and in college then, and I'm broke and in college now...

Hello

I'm bran new to posting on this website (or any website). I have had a 78 Jimmy for 3 years and modded it to the best of my abilities. 14 bolt with detroit, d60, 350/465/205, ORD crossover steering. Narrowed front end and made it tilt forward, homemade bumpers.
I've been meaning to get the membership and thought I did, but I've been drinking a lot lately and therefore could be wrong.

Hello!

My name is Fredrik and I'm from Sweden.
I have three trucks in various shapes...

My current project is a K30 M1010 (military ambulance), with 56" and 64" springs, and 42" tires.
I also have a -90 K2500 with 37" tires.
And as a work-truck I drive a Dodge W250
(All of them are diesels)

Unfortunatly I cannot post any pictures or links to build-threads, since I don't have enough posts.

Btw. I seem to have a problem viewing some attached pictures.
For example the pic in the first post in the thread called "Front Driveshaft", in the "The Garage" section.
(I can't post a link to this either)

Howdy.

Bought a 1987 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic with a 350/700R4/NP208 and somewhere between 83k and 283k miles....hell, I guess it could be 583k for all I know.

Now I have been shopping since I bought it....I fear for my debitcard's safety.

Anyway, I see tons of info here and it may inspire my first purchase to be a welder....and some scrap metal to learn to weld on.

While mine is not a trail rig, I have went all through it and turned it in to a very nice looking and rare (around here) daily driver. Anyway, just thought I would say hi. Love this site. Lots of good information on here.

Yo! Im picking up a completely stock 1979 K5 blazer tomarrow morning! I stoked about it! :D Ive wanted a K5 for a long time and when I found this one I couldnt believe it. 400 ci motor, turbo 350 tranny, locking differentials, power windows and door locks. Everything still original. It runs but needs a tune up badly! Steering is real loose so I figure it needs new ball joints and bushings. A/C needs to be recharged and it needs new valve cover gaskets. Although everything is original it looks like its well kept it still needs replacement. By the way, my names Jess

Hi guys been watching from the shadows and figured I would start posting so I could see all the other pics that are blocked out until you have enough posts...

I started my build up about 10 years, 2 jobs, and 4 dogs ago...

started mild with a stock 84 k-5 with a 305, 700 r4 10 bolts 12" lift and 44's and ended up..with a 383, 350 tranny, 205 t-case, with a d-60 front and gm 14 bolt rear with 4:88's...agr box and pump cross over steering 8" susp. lift, 44" tires and a bunch of other little goodies..now I am starting on the cage and getting ready to apply a spray on liner on the inside...

now after 10 years I think I may actually get to drive it in the next couple months...

Amazing how time flies..

New member from germany

Hello to all,

I´m here a new member and coming from germany. My age is 47 and I have a 90`Blazer K1500 with 4" lift and 350 engine,33" tires, running on LPG and fuel. Have this heavy metal around one year, changed some parts time by time and would like make a full restoration if I find a place, great enough to build it up.
Therefore I have many questions around it, because US automotive standarts are some different to our european cars. Excuse my bad english, hope there are not to much mistakes.

Ralph

sorry . no go on the Blazer today. After driving an hour, I find him without all the paperwork! I found this out because I made him go to the DMV so I could see what the charges would be to transfer title. In doing so the DMV asked him where was the transfer with his name on it? He said it was at home and he must have forgot it. So were off to his house were he wants me to be cool with forging the documents to transfer. Then he had to go back to the DMV to get a blank one!!! I called him and told him he lost the sale. In the time I had to look at it mmore in the sunlight, there was more rust than I was willing to deal with.:doah:
