Freshy Intro

Hello all~ I'm new here, live in Fresno,Ca right in the stinkin middle. I just aquired a 73' K5 in a trade for my 91' 4-Runner. I feel sorry for the guy, but he was happy! I needed more power to tow my Flatbottom, and I like the fact that I can fix just about anything on the K5 without too many headaches. No smog is a big plus.........and I can't begin to tell you how nice it is to be driving a vehicle with a V8!!!!Looks like alot of good info here, I have alot of reading to do~

What's up, my name is Ross. I've been on here for a while and need to renew my membership, later. Just picked up an '84 K10 about a month ago and just finished the first phase, Dana 44, 14FF, 4 inches and 38s. Now it's time for maintanance. I'll put up pics when I can, but not for another 10 posts. Thanks for all the info!

Well, I'm new here. Just picked up a 70 Blazer project that I hope to get up and running this summer. It's originally a 4x4, 6 cyl, manual blazer, but currently has a rebuilt 350 in it. It's backed by a SM465 and an NP205. All of these are in good working order. It is in primer, and needs some body work re-done (rockers, torsion boxes are needed still) also have a couple spots on the windshield frame to be re-done, but those are coming. The wiring is a mess, and it currently doesn't run on it's own. I got a spare engine harness, but still need to get a dash harness, or rebuild mine. Once that's done, the 4" rough country suspension I picked up for it needs to go on, and the 31x10.5x15's on factory rims need to go on. After that , I need to find a gas tank and a set of seats (somewhere in the Northeast that aren't trashed) and I should be good to go. Hope to learn a lot here and look forward to meeting anyone local.

Hello, I'm a former lurker. I've got my M1008 started finally after having it stock for a year. It has 40 inch LTBs with 5.5-6 inches of lift, crossover steering and a shackle flip in the rear.

newb

Hello to all. Been a GM guy for about 25 yrs now. Currently building a swb so far I've used an 83 cab with an 89 GMC jimmy/sub front clip. I just got a 350 from a 89 1 ton with about 85000 miles, it should go in real soon.
Does anyone know if the cam in the tbi motor has the lobe to run a mech fuel pump? I have a mild isky cam and a set of roller rockers I might throw in it with a fresh timing chain anyway so who knows. The motor is nice and clean inside, old company truck with oil and maint records since it was new.
Later Guys

Hello, my name is Joey and I'm from Tuscaloosa Alabama. I have a 72 K5 that was purchased in April. I bought it with a blown 307, no biggie I just happen to have a good 4bolt 350 that needed something to call home. The po put a 4inch HD Superlift kit on it (springs up fronts, blocks on the back), rides like a dump truck. It has the standard d44/12bolt with 3.73 gears and monster 265/70/15 tires. I plan on just making it street ready for the summer. Then during the winter I will do the 1ton swap and make it trail ready.

Greetings and Salutations!
My name is Doc, I'm currently in SoCal (Camp Pendleton) loving life. I have a 75 K10, 91 V1500, and 2 Jeeps (both Grands). Anyone in the area feel free to hit me up sometime.

Newbie from Oklahoma

Hello all. My name is Bud and I am snooping around here for Blazer info. I am not new to four wheeling but am considering the purchase of a 73 Blazer for a full size trail rig to be used on rocks and hills with a little mud. Will probably run 37" tires.

The Blazer I am looking at is pretty rough and has no engine. 44 in the front and a 12 bolt in the rear with 3.07 gears. It does have a 465 transmission and a 205 already in it with a 6" suspension lift and has Military 36 X 12.50 tires. I am considering upgrading the front and rear end if I buy the Blazer (probably will).

I hope to learn alot about Blazers here. Previous experience is with Scouts and CJs.

Hi

Hi, I'm Joe
I live in El Cajon, but spend time at Navydoc8778 house on Pendleton a lot working on someones truck or something, if I'm not surfing. I have a 1986 M1009 CUCV 6.2L TH400 NP208 with 10 bolts front and rear, on 35X16" Toyo M/T with Eagle Alloy wheels, It has a flip shackle from ORD dont know what else has been done to the truck since I bought the way it is today... Oh yeah, I put up this intro since I cant seem to find/ remember if I already posted on here so if this is a double post I'm sorry... Oh, I'm also game for runs or meets that happen, and if anyone surfs I'm always game for that even if you just want to learn...
