Just joined

Hi my name is Matt I just joined. I live in southern california. I own a 76 K5 that has a 327 from an el camino in it. It has a three inch rancho lift some 35's mostly stock drivetrain, just replaced both driveshafts with custom ones. Probably gonna drop some lockers and gears in the next couple of weeks for more traction and to get some punch back from it. I dont wheel as often as i would like due to a lack of 4 wheeling friends so hopefully i meet some members in so cal who can show me some trails and teach me a few new things about workin on the old blazer. thanks

Intro

Hello,

My name is michael, I am here in upstate SC and actually drive a Dodge Ramcharger. Yea i know there's a site for those too. One of my main reasons for coming on here is for more information, ideas and innovation for building my rig.

So far i am in the process of upgrading to 3/4 ton axles Locked front (aussie) and rear (detroit), 4.10 gears, 4 sp manual and running 37" tires.

One of the key things i was joining this sight for was researching full family cages for my rig. I will be modifying my top so that it will be a removable hard top, but i won't do that until there is a plan for the cage.

Hi,

My name is Joe. I live in las Vegas. I got a new family, so I am converting my 69 shortbed that took 8 years to restore to an 85 K5. Go figure.

Hello :) My family and I are from Michigan. I recently decided to finish rebuilding my 85' K5. We were wheelin at the local ORV park every weekend for about 3 years until my rig's motor spit a bearing about the time that I became unemployed. We're looking forward to wheelin all weekend and wrenchin all week again! :)

Hey everybody my name is Rob and i'm from Connecticut. I'll be 17 on Wednesday (August 26th) and I just bought an 88' K5 from my friend. It has 83,000 miles on the truck and 2,000 on the new Goodwrench 350. The truck is totally stock but I plan on doing a 4" lift in the very near future with 35's. I've been going through this forum a little the past couple days and decided to join up.

My name is Zach I am from Athens Ga and I have a 1978 k5. I just got finished rebuilding the top end of my sbc 350. My truck has a 6in lift ,35's, warn front locking hubs, a 12 bolt rear end. I am looking to cure some of the cancer in the car but for now I will have to deal with the breeze. I would really like to get my hands on a pre 1973 k5 but I cant seem to find one for cheap enough in my area.

Hi my name is Steve. I'm 52 years old and still play with trucks, what can I say. :)
I live in southern California and have a 74 K20 with a 87 front clip. It has a 1996 350 Vortec engine in it with an Edelbrock carb and intake. I have Hooker super comp headers and Dynomax mufflers. The truck has a 4" suspension lift and 35" BF Goodrich tires on weld wheels. It is a blast to drive and I get lots of thumbs up from the younger folk! :)

Hello Everyone!

Hello, My name is Shawn and I live in Southern, AZ. Sierra Vista to be exact. It looks like I'm all alone in this part of the state. There are a couple of members in Tucson, but hopefully more will come to this area. It's nice to get help from people near by as well as go wheelin without having to drive for more thatn 20 miles.

Basically I've had two Toyota's. 2003 Tacoma SR5 with off road package and a factory locker and supercharger. This was the best off road truck I've ever owned. It would NOT break, get stuck, or flip. (well i came close to flipping a couple of times) the only drawback was it was tiny.

So I stepped it up and in 2005 traded in for a full size Tundra SR5 Off-Road package as well. Worst mistake ever. I've ripped the exhast off the truck twice. Ripped the front bumper off once and destroyed 1 of the CATs, and bent the driveshaft. Needless to say, this truck is great if you stay on pavement. Absolutly sucks off road though. Toyota even threatened to drop my warrenty because I was using my Toyota Off Road.

Well that was getting way to expensive so I went searching and found a 1978 K5 Blazer that the guy had to get rid of b/c his wife said he had to many toys. Yeah!!! My wife wanted me to get a toy to break instead of the Tundra.

Well It's a 4" lift, 400sb / 3.08 12 bolt rear / 10bolt front. New TH350 and Transfer case was swapped out to a 205. Well this is where I start. It leaks from every orphice except the A/C but now I have a toy to rebuild and play with. :D:D:D

Message if your ever in this area..

Hello

Hi. My name is Cory, and I live in North-Central Indiana. I bought a 1986 2wd, shortbed, GMC Sierra Classic recently off of eBay. I have found this forum to be of great value, and have used other member's experiences to help me out in my ongoing restoration-modification. I joined up awhile ago, and have been reading many of your posts and replies. I thank all of you for sharing your vast knowledge on what is probably the best generation of trucks GM, or anyone for that matter, has ever produced.
