Im sure your best bet would be to go out and find a shop to make you one. I know autopower makes some good cages for cars, certified and the like, but not sure if they make them for trucks. Plus if you get one made you can get it tucked like you want, and placed were you want it

I have been soaking up the info here for about a month and thought I would post an intro as I may have questions soon.

I bought 1987 GMC Jimmy a few months ago and keep finding things missing and or disconnected. Trying to get it back to where it should be before I start tinkering with it.

New Member from good old Europe...

Hi Guys
Mi name is Marco and I'm living in Switzerland, Age 35, just bought my second Blazer (1991 350 K10), and this time it's the big deal, as it is in perfect condition. I work as a Salesman for German luxury cars, but my heart beats for the Blazer, always has. I'm a proud owner since this year, so very new and glad to find some of you for some good information, as the Blazer is not very common here...but therefore a nice exception on the streets.

Lets see some pics of your overseas Blazer!

I'm new here too. Name's Brian. Picked up an 87 GMC K5 350tbi, 700R4, 3:42 10bolts with the gov bomb rear, brown n tan w/tan inside, sittin on 31" Cooper STT's. Found it on C-list from a guy that moved up here from Texas and the truck needed too much mechanical repair for him and he had no storage place for it. I've spent my spare time in the last month bringing it back to life and now she's on the road and happy again. Nice solid truck, ya just don't find anything like that here in New England.

What I've done so far is replace the fuel pump, replace the broken t-case, replace the rear brake lines and rear brake shoes. Changed out the brown fluids in the diffs and replaced the rear pinion seal and one u-joint. Removed the carpets cause they were wet and smelly, and it looks like the top seals leak which I will have to address at some point.

Future plan is to swap in 4:10 geared 3/4 tons I have in a parts truck out back, 4" lift front and DIY shackle flip rear, 35" tires and H2 wheels. That should get me through the NE trails for a while. Will also be looking for a set of 99- seats for this too but comfort takes a back seat to function so that can wait.

Lots of good info on this site, haven't had to post up any questions as of yet. Looks like a good community, glad I have the chance to be a part of it. Thanx!
