Introductions & Greetings

thanks, I haven't spent much time on any local boards occasionally I look at http://www.florida4x4.com or http://chuckstrucks.iforumer.com/index.php?mforum=chuckstrucks. What other local boards are out there?

I post a build thread of my rig with some pics.

www.pensacola4x4.com is kinda local to you but it's a pretty young group with lesser built trucks (nothing wrong, just a fact)

www.lockitupoffroad.net is based in Mobile with some moderately well built stuff, there's a couple of guys from your area that post here.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to steer you away from here I just thought we might have crossed paths or know common folk. Be sure to watch the regional forum here on CK5 as we try to get together a couple of times a year to eat/drink/be merry. :D

Oh, I'll be watching for the thread on your ride - I'm diggin the 4 door. :pimp:

Hi Im Craig Im from Benton Harbor, Mi Ive got a 1987 V10 suburban with about 300,000 on it and all the rust I could ever want on a truck. At least I got it for free:D. I put 3000 bucks into this thing getting it ready for silverlake and badlands or wherever else I take her. Shes got the A/C removed ,the air pump removed. A 4" rough country lift and 33" mickey thompson tires have some dry rot got them for $455 off ebay with some american racing atlas 15x8 rims that have seen better days (so I painted them black) for free or on loan I guess. Just bought a dana 44 with warn manual lockouts and a 14bff with a lincon locker for $325 I havnt put these on cuz I will need to buy some 8 lug rims for the front and rear and new tires (movin up to 35 or 36s or the whatever is the closest on 16/17 inch rims). Got some Hedman Hedders installed last night and takin it to a muffler shop to get some flowmaster 2 chambers put on at some point.

Shes been to Silverlake and badlands to this point. I've broken the Heater core at Silverlake. The transfercase seal at Badlands at least thats what I hope it is havnt messed with it yet.

Well thats all I can think of so far . Hope to talk to you guys later....

Newbie post

Hello All- always wanted a K5, just snagged a 1989 Jimmy with 59K from original owner. not perfectly straight, but not a rust-bucket or a butcher job. Still all OEM! Just plan on the resto-mod stuff, but nothing radical. Located in central Arkansas and glad to call it home! Thanks for a great forum!!!!

my first post

hi all,
everybody calls me biker bob . i am new to this site but not at all new to 73-87 chevy trucks and blazers. i currently own a 87 k5 that i am in the process of fixing up. it has been in my family since it was brand new. i remember the day my cousin bought it. so it has been sitting for about ten years until i got it off my cousin for 1000 bucks... not bad . body is straight as can be but it had the paint primer problem thats common. so since i have had it a couple months i put a 6 inch all leaf lift on it. 35" mud tires , stripped it to bare metal and primed it with epoxy primer. it has a couple bugs i am working out now but a good running truck . love these years of chevy.. i kick myself in the ass for selling my 85 3/4 ton that i put a built 402 bb in with a spd stick. awesome truck but it just sat because i bought a 07 superduty 8 inch lift and 37's. anyway. i am glad to be a new member to this site

Hello all, my name is Joe and I live in northern Nevada. I have recently purchased my 2nd (in a lifetime) 1970 K5 Blazer, mostly stock. Just found this forum and look forward to talking to some other enthusiasts out there. If anyone can help with links for hard to find parts, please shoot me a reply. Presently looking for a full top or half cab as I only have the soft top at this time and the winters do get brisk here.

I introduced myself once before long ago, and my deal to get a blazer fell through. However, I did get a 4x4 finally yesterday to work on, though now it's a 1989 1/2 ton suburban! I have some ideas on cutting off the roof and bobbing it in time, not sure tire size yet but somewhere between 35s and 38s, depends on what the budget will allow in time...
I live in casper, wyoming and would love to meet other wheelers in the area!

Hey, just picked up a 86 GMC Jimmy to dump my extra money and free time into. Should be lots of fun

Rookie Here

Hi everyone, Well just got my frist Blazer and i am liking it way better than all the FJ60's and 62's that i have gone thur. I live in NEPA near Harrisburg. My Blazer is a 88 K5 Silverado/white. It is sort of stock i guess except for a few things. Has the dual shock opition up front, electric cooling fan for the rad, new high flow cat with mangaflow muffler all 3 in i believe. Sounds real deep. 33 Pro Comp tires on stock rims, also has a massive sunroof that dosen't leak yet. Don't know if that was a factory opition installed or from a aftermarket place. She is originaly from Calf. so there is just the start of some minor surface rust. No rot or frame or body rust all the way thur at all. Truck seems very soild and everything works great. Also has a wild alarm system because of Calf. he said, old school sunpro tach mounted the right way and a nice jvc stero system. Looking for a center console that goes between the seats, this one is cracked. I am very anal with my rigs and i will be bringing this one back to no surface rust anywhere. Looking forward to meeting some other blazer heads and i hope this site has a classifed section for rigs and parts. Will post some pics up tommorrow after i put on her new ac comperssor and get her blowing me cold. Cheers John
