Another new member post

name is Derrick, originally from Indiana currently stationed in Louisiana. I own a 88 K5. ive had it since early 05 and its been sitting and rotting away since just about the same time. It broke during its maiden voyage thru its first mud hole. Considering trying too get it back up and running but with the back of the body as bad as it is I need a little motivation. Hoping maybe seeing some of your guys builds will give me the boost i need.

Newbie with k5

Hello I just signed up and have looked at this site a lot finally decided to sign up I have 1979 Chevrolet K5 Blazer with a 400sb, th350 (sm465 one day), NP203, a corp 10bolt front, a corp 12 bolt rear when I was younger it is the first Square that I ever laid my eyes on (love at first site). Before I got it, it belonged to rancher that bought it new off the showroom floor it was originally two-tone White w/ colonial yellow shortly after I that it was painted solid white when the rancher bought a 02 dually he parked this and very shortly after that my grandpa who worked for the man for around 20yrs. got the blazer to make run and sell for the man when I herd he was going to sell it I asked how much Immediately he gave me truck in exchange for helping him on the ranch and as soon as my grandpa and me got it running he let me drive it around the ranch had fun for a 11 year old in it with my grandpas supervision paid it off and continued driving it on the ranch. finally so about a year ago I tore down to rebuild the motor and cosmetic things to the body and it hasn't really gotten the attention I originally planned (school, etc, etc) but it is still moving along will post updates as they come. this is pics of before it was torn down it know primer black on the lower half and partially yellow tailgate because when it was painted it wasn't on the truck

Hi from Mnstr99

Hi Everyone,

I have been using this site to look at the product reviews. I have a 76 K5 that I have been working on for about 7 yrs(parts take money). I have a 383 stroker w/a 465/205. This has been a frame off restoration so far. I am working on painting it right now w/rustoleum smoke grey and flat black on the hood and roof. I will be adding 38's with crossover steering. I also have a 6" lift with a 2" bodylift, fenders are trimmed and ready for bigger tires. I will add pictures soon.

Looks like a few of yall havent been properly welcomed to CKS. The first thing to remember with CK5 is we like our pictures! Post em up!!! Oh yea, WELCOME to CK5!

New guy

My name is Lee, from good ole Georgia and I'm 28 yrs old. I just bought my first project truck, a 1990 GMC suburban v1500 and look forward to any wisdom y'all have to share. I always wanted a k5 blazer but now that I'm a family man I decided to go with a burban'! I think I got a great deal on it, I paid $1500 for it and it runs good and has an awesome interior. The plan is to fix all the minor problems and put a lift on it. I'd also like to modify the stock 350 a little but nothin major.

Hey yall my name is Matt I am from Northern KY. I just became a new owner of a 1991 K5 my first one. Glad to be here :thumb:
