Finnish K5,

Hi, I´m Mattius from eastern north part of Finland. I´ v bought diesel 6,2L 1991 K5 Silverado a couple of weeks a go - A real four wheeler at "original" condition (whit some extras by problems and drills).

My idea of the cars seems to be that only American made car has that certain "spirit-of-freedom" that any other car makers has not found yet (whit 43 owned cars experience).

Have a good time whit your cars, friends and the love ones where ever you live, at specially in North America.

God bless you,

Mattius

noob

hey, names brian, just purchased a 91 k5, tbi 350 203 transfer case , itll be my toy off road rig, i live in south florida and also own a 84 c-10 stepside

Hello everyone, my name is Jack, and I am a new owner of a 86' CUCV. I have big plans for an offroad dedicated rig, but i'm here to do some research, as i can easily do the fab work for suspension and roll cages. But i dont know ANYTHING about chevy motors, they are new to me, so i am here to learn.

basically, i would like to put some sort of fuel injected motor in as im afraid of stalling while at extreme angles, or damaging the motor in rollovers.

Hey all, my name is Bill. Currently living in New Mexico, soon to be relocated in Arkansas. I have a 1982 C20 Suburban. Mint condition. Has an original 4 speed in it. Traded a 1973 superbeetle for it, and the guy also gave me 500 bucks. Working to make it more trail usable as I do lots of camping and such. So far mostly minor changes, but they are steadily adding up. Currently putting on custom built front and back bumpers with winch reciever. Added side steps, bigger off road tires. Adding a locking differential next month. Should be adding a rack to the top after that.

Hey all, I've been a prowd Chevy Blazer, K5 Fullsize owner for over 20 years. I finally had to put my 1977 to rest but already had its replacement a purchased a few years ago. I know have the 1987 K5 4x4 350 TBI automatic and just love all the fill size blazers.

New member Proud papa of K5

Well guys, I had a girlfriend, her dad sold her an 87 blazer, the rear end went out so we bought another K5 an 85. "mine". We yanked out the rearend, swapped em out. I scored a jeggs 308 gearset. Slapped it in. Bought a 350 4 bolt from a spoiled rotten kid going to school at M.I.T. who completely rebuilt it. Then sold it to me for a whopping $300!
I rebuilt the 700R4, found a cheap 208 from the same year from a guy who owns RPM racing. He rebuilt it top to bottom, I scored that for $50.

Man this K5 was is the worst shape I had ever seen.. been stored for 6 years with the rear window rolled down. Moss and mushrooms were growing in the carpets. the hood seized shut. 15 pounds of pine needles in the cowling. never been waxed, shredded seats, cracked dash, cracked frame, heres a before picture If I can post it.
Well guess not...unable to host images but has alot of spam and ads on this site... yikes!:doah:
This is bull crap cant even post on here. yeah I wont be coming back anytime soon... must be a california owned site..

Well guys enjoy my last and only post. maybe when I want to pizz away money to read and write I'll go back to school.

Sorry owner and admins. I have better things to spend my money on..

Howdy all, My name is Mike, I'm from Cedar Grove WV and am the proud owner of an all original 1979 Chevy Blazer with 36,000 miles. I purchased this 5 years ago from the original owner with all of its original paperwork. Dirt cheap I might add.

I'd like to thank everyone posting here for all the great information they have provided and professional attitudes for all of us newbies full of questions. I hope I can add some useful information for other members and casual browsers to use on their own projects.
