I need help! I have a 91 GMC 6.2 diesel. It only has 151k miles on it. The problem...... My 20 amp gauge/idle fuse blows, but only when I push the pedal. At first I can drive up to 15 mph and the fuse would blow. Today I was messing around with it and while in gear and pushing the pedal down it still blew. What could be the cause? I am guessing something in there is sensing fuel flow and it pops, but what?

What's up fellas my name is tommy I'm florida I have a 1987 r 20 with abuilt 350 runnin a th350 and a np205 in the proccess of building a 400 small block it has 12 inches of lift. Custom interior and that's it for the moment

Yes, it is the intro thread, and I am introducing myself back into the K5 game after about a 4 year hiatus.
But, mostly I am just here to brag about the 2 K5's I scored lo but about 6 hours ago.
I picked both of these up today from a guy that didn't really get the bug after a year of owning them and wanted to go back to Harleys.
The black one is a bone stock 1990, and the tan one is a mildly modified (3" lift, 33's, rear Lock-Right, etc) 1983.
I haven't fully decided what I'm doing with them yet, but I sure couldn't pass the deal up!

Hello, my name's Daryl and I'm not really a 4x4 guy. I really got interested in K5's from a financial aspect. I buy and sell about anything I can to make money as a side job so when I saw a guy get really excited about the full convertible top on a 1974 K5 Blazer I was trying to buy for scrap I knew they were a desirable vehicle to look out for. So when the opportunity came up for me to but one for $300.00 I bought it. The idea was to do a quick resell for profit but that didn't happen as planned. Since I've bought the K5 I've done some studying and learning and with the help of a friend of mine and hopefully some of you guys here I hope to kick off a minor restoration project that will at least make this K5 a little more desirable so that someone will want to buy it from me. So far I've seen lots of useful info here and I'm looking forward to finding lots more.

Hi everybody. Name's Ian from NC soon to be NE. I currently DD a 86 Chevy M1028 CUCV that I've owned for about a month or two. I'm working on a 4" lift, 35's, stereo, and various other things the truck needs (or I just want!) The truck has its gremlins, but so far I pretty much love it

Upload the photo to photobucket and copy the url that is assigned to it. Then use the yellow icon here above that looks like a mountain with a postage stamp in the upper right corner. Paste the url in the slot above and viola!

@Ticketman Thanks for the info. I'd like it better if I could just load it up straight from the computer (take note CK5 techies!) but at least I know how to do it now and I'm sure I can live with it.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have a 1984 6.2 Suburban with a 1996 crate j-code replacement engine. Slow and steady, but gets the job done. Currently on a Cummins, though. Maybe I will go back to working on the Suburban.

Hi all!! New to the site, but have been lurking on here for a while, gathering tips and info on my recent K5 purchase. Its a 1987 Jimmy, standard drivetrain, 350/700R4, not sure of the gear yet. Its been sitting in the back corner of a large garage surrounded by boats and other vehicles for 6 yrs. The body and frame are in great shape, no rust what so ever, (the PO bought it in Tenn.), but the tranny and rearend will need a rebuild. My plans are to get it road worthy again for now for summer cruisin and trips to Silver Lake Dunes on the west side of Michigan where the family and I camp. Long term plans are a 4" lift, wheels and tires, paint, etc. but as like others I'll have a limited budget (cause the boss says so) LOL!! I am extremely excited to get working on the Jimmy and I'm sure I will drive many of you crazy with my endless questions but I cant think of a better place to ask them. Look forward to talking with guys.

Just found this place a week ago, glad I did but have been lacking in some sleep since I did, up late doing lots of reading.
On my 4th Suburban, currently a '90, 6" all spring Superlift 35" truxxus MTs 3/4 ton 10 and 14 bolts. Just sold my last running Harley so the sub is my DD for a while.
I am a master Harley tech and own a small custom parts company.
I enjoy camping, trail riding back roads in the mountains and long walks in the woods.

Hi all you Suburban fans. I am a newbie and own a 1972 Suburban 4 x4 (GMC).It is a one owner (my dads) and I learned to drive on it. It is in decent shape but has some issues with rust. I am currently replacing the original rubber body mounts and have run into a problem with the rear drivers side mounting rail. It is very rusted and I would like to replace or repair it . The rail runs across the width of the rear and looks as if it could be removed. Can I buy a replacement ?
