Introductions & Greetings

Hi, I'm new here but not to 4wheeling, Ive been wheeling jeeps for the last few years. I just got another fullsize which I haven't had since I was in high school. Its kinda nice having room in the cab of the truck.

hi there

hi,my name is Steve. I live in Lake Havasu, Az. I have a '76 blazer K-5 for
20 years. My problem is 4x4. first started with noise like maybe a chain or
gears slipping and stopping the truck, I wasnt going to fast. I took it out of 4 wheel and went home. i then put it in 4 wheel and truck wouldnt move, when releasing the lock hubs it moved. i took out the front driveshaft, and cover plate to see the yokes. when locking the hubs, the front pumpkin yoke turns,
when i shift into 4 x4 the transfer case yoke doesnt move. what is my next step? remove transfer case or what? anyone have any problems like that?

203/205 combo single stick?

I have 68 suburban with a 203/205 combo mated to a 350 turbo and I only have one tranfer case shifter selector. I have this loud rattle comming from below and started doing my research and still have yet to come across a single stick for this combo. Everything I found has been double stick one shifter for each case and even triple stick. Is my set up right :dunno:.

Does the single stick actuate boxes? (I can't imagine how) Maybe the stick is only hooked up to one (probably rear) case?

203/205 combo single stick?

so I can still drive it with just the single stick? or should the 203 be hooked up as well. I know that same combo came from a 71 Suburban but with twin sticks.

A 203/205 combo never came factory, it's always aftermarket and has a choice of twin or triple sticks.

As for driving it, if you verify the 203 is in HIGH and the 205 is in 2WD HIGH then it should be ok to drive.

The single stick isn't right so I'd make plans to get the correct the stick set up. check out Off Road Design.com for LOTS of info (they also originally developed the 203/205 Doubler set up).

Hi, from canada! :D
I'm a highschool student in his last year of automotive, [cool program they offer here] I currently own a 78 Chevy K10 stepside,
305 that makes a WHOPPPING 80hp! [rough guess XD]
TH350 with stage 3 shift kit
3:08 gears
4" rancho lift
custom bumpers with 30,000lb tow hooks
NP205 transfer case
and dual flowmaster 40's

Used to have a stock-car built 350 until we sold it to a friend who changed it out. Then i decided i wanted the truck back and bought it back off him.

I'm still new to the whole restoring/fixing trucks deal, so expect lots of questions from me!
