Names Anthony from Cali.
bought my first burb yesterday and glad I did. A family friend has an 89 and another friend has an 88.
Mine is a 1991 GMC Suburban with a 350, 4" lift and 33's. Love it so far.
looking forward to any help ya'll will be able to give.

Hey everyone, I'm Adam...I'm not new to chevy trucks, but I am new to K5 Blazer trucks. I recently acquired a 1991 K5. Decently clean, but plenty to keep me busy. Hoping to find some helpful knowledge and maybe make a few friendships along the way. I'll get some pictures of the truck up as soon as I have time to take some. :-)

Newbie!! Ready to learn.

Hey y'all, my name is Garrett. Proud owner of a '82 Chevy K10. Bought in 2009 for 500$ while on deployment. Got home and bought a hot 350 sbc (375hp/360tq) from a local mud racer. Currently in Jacksonville, NC. My name says it all the truck is nicknamed white trash(call sign I carried over from the Marines, because I'm a cheap SOB) everything I've done for the truck is on the cheap. Bought it with 4 in(guessing) lift and 32's. installed a 8-10" lift (again guessing) and 3" body lift. For free. Have 35's on it now also bought very cheaply. Put a work cap on the bed and designed and built a raised wood floor storage and instal of diy water tank. Truck will be used for camping/hunting/off roading/overlanding. Here to learn and enjoy the company of fellow gearheads.

What ratios are in each axle?

Future plans for the vehicle? (lift, tire size, wheeling, mud, rocks, street only, etc)

Do you have the knowledge/tools or friends with the ability to change out a gear set?

I ask because it could mean the difference between buying a gear set or a pair of used axles.

Hello All

Hi, my name is Edwin and I've just bought a 1986 K5 Blazer with the 305ci V8 and the 700r4 AT. It's a bit of a basket case but it's a good platform to start. I cant be too concerned for the shape its in because I was able to drive it 75 miles home from where I purchased it. I'm planning on a solid build for capability and longevity. I live in Webster Texas just south of Houston and I'm looking forward to getting back out and enjoying some off road adventure.

Hi, I just thought I'd stop in and re-introduce myself. I'm a CK5 charter member, but haven't really been on the forum very much since 2006! I'm a retired Army helicopter mechanic and now I work for myself building TBI and LS fuel injection setups along with the occasional hot rod or 4x4.

Last weekend I finished up a new spray bomb paint job and replacement of the cut-out fender flares on my K5. Here's a picture!

Nice ride Jason!
Hello Everyone. First post here(actually 6th since you can't post pics until you have 5 posts;) but I have been a member since 2008. I am a 10,000+ post member of tbssowners.com and that is where I spend most of my online time.

Anyway, I am a proud owner of a 81 K5 that I was brought home from the hospital as a baby in and it has been in my family ever since. I am about to bring her back from the dead! She has been parked in the woods ever since I blew the motor up in 2000! I will be doing a full restoration in October, that's the goal anyway.

It has a 300 HP GM crate motor in her and she runs like a champ(especially with no doors, tailgate, rear seat an roof;)

First attempt at pictures...

Hello CK5'ers, pardon the term if that is incorrect :eek1:

I have recently acquired a military Blazer that was owned by NASA and a Fire department. It is in pretty good shape with most of the wear coming from sitting or being used on dusty roads and then sitting!

It is like most of the CUCV's except the outside has a decent condition white paint job and the bumper in the back and perhaps the front have been changed out.

I will post some photos. Right now I have new 32" x 11.50's mud tires the original wheels and have 2" of lift.

Thanks for having me!

Hello everyone. I bought a nice 91 K5 about a year ago for my son. He gets his permit next week, and can't wait to start drivng it. This winter will be a complete overhaul. 3/4 ton axles, lift and all the other goodies that go along with it. If there is time I have a 5.3 LS that will fit nicely under the hood. I have built several pickups, but this will be my first Blazer. I have always wanted one and hope he will enjoy it as much as I know I will.
