Introductions & Greetings

Good evening all, I just joined the site and I'm enjoying all the resources. I own a '79 K5 with about 41,000 ORIGINAL miles and a 400sb. Looking forward to checking out some other rigs.

Welcome!! You gonna bring it to silver lake?

new from mo

I myself have a G-body drag car,49;chevy nostalgia gasser ,lifted truck, couple pre 70 Harley&a bsa as of today!. Almost everything needs work which I can never get to because I'm always on a customer's project.Which leads me to the site.As its my first time building one of these.
My grammar and punctuation will surely give you a headache. As I said if you're close to St Louis give me a holler if you ever need a hand I have no problem helping someone long as they help me when its needed. From paint to collision repair. just remember we drink whiskey round these parts here's your tractor pulls and ball games. So that's my long introduction of a rant.oh btw I'm not a brand nazi long as its American or European I'm all for it hell I guess Mexico two since a lot of nice Cummins come out of there

New Member in Dallas

Hello out there! I am a new member from Dallas with a super clean '90 4x4, 3/4 ton Suburban, gas. My first car was an '88 4x4 Suburban and I have loved them my whole life. I am hoping to provide and receive tips on how to keep our trucks healthy and looking sharp. I am happy to lend a helping hand to anyone in the Dallas area.

Hello All

I am new to the forum and haven't quite figured out how to get around yet but, I am glad to be here. My name is Larry and I live in Mississippi. I am finishing a '72 Chevy K5 Blazer rebuild. I am needing some hard to find parts and will be asking for help...

Welcome to the board! Where in ol Miss are you? What are the plans for the '72?

Hi all,

I'm from Sacramento CA and I have a 72 k5 and in the midst of restoration. looking forward to talking with some of you about these special vehicles.

Hey everybody my name's Brody and I live in Vancouver BC. I just picked up a 1980 K5 Blazer. The body is a little rough but nothing horrific. The transmission is an sm465 and is working well. 1st gear with low range is amazing! But other than that it feels like a dump truck shifting around town. Anyway its got an unhappy 355 supposedly. It has a 12 bolt posi in the rear and a 10 bolt something in the front. It's got 94,000 miles on it and runs way worse than my 85 Ford with 160,000 lol. The chev has electrical problems while the ford has steering problems lol. Anyway it's lifted with 3-4 inches of suspension lift on 33s. I have no plans to lift it further as its my daily driver/weekend rig. My plans for it include bodywork, paint, tune ups and mods to make it more usable, ie installing a tow package etc. Sorry for the rambly post. I look forward to your guys help in the future.

Howdy y'all! New guy from Austin, Tx

I just wanted to say hello. A few months ago I purchased a 74' k5 and have begin to slowly give it some upgrades. I look forward to learning from y'all and doing some research on the site.

I live just outside Ashland. I have basically put my K5 back in good, solid driving condition. Got rid of the rust, body work as required and new paint. I am looking for the rear door operating mechanism. I have the handle, rods and latches but, I can't find the operating mechanism any where. Any suggestions?
