Don't hold it against me but I'm a Miata guy. In the past I've turbocharged them, obviously did the V8 swap, parted out 7-8 of them. They are one of the few RWD platforms that handle well out of the box. The entire floor, firewall, front and rear subframe mounting locations were cut out of a Miata and welded into the SAAB. The entire drivetrain, fuel system, etc is now a direct bolt-in affair. The whole stock wiring harness will just drop into stock locations. All steering and pedal mounts are stock Miata because the firewall is intact. Turbocharged the Miata motor is good for 250WHP on stock rods, 300 with simple China forged rods. The whole car will be about 2100 lbs so even 250 whp is plenty.
