Introductions & Greetings

Hi everybody. Finally decided to start some posting. I have an 89 Blazer that I have added 4" lift, 35" tires, fender flares. All new suspension and steering. Fun to drive and still plan to do some engine work.

I build Quadrajet carburetors as a business and can help with that too.

Hi all. My names chuck and I'm a square body noob in Cortez, CO (34mi NE of the 4corners)
I acquired a 90 gmc v1500 suburban 350/700R4 with a rod knock and 0 rust for $500. I traded a dodge 360 that I wasn't using for a 350. Block is 72 c10 bored .30 over, heads are 70 double humps. Not sure about cam size, but it's bigger than an RV cam.

newbie

Hi everybody !
My name is Chris. I'm a french guy living in Italy and tomorrow is a big day: The delivery of a beautiful K5 6.2 Diesel '83 that I bought two weeks ago.
I've always been a big fan of US cars: Over the 20 past years, I was lucky enough to own a '78 Mustang II, then a '87 Pontiac Firebird and then a '67 Mustang fastback.
This K5 will be my first truck fitted with a transfer case.
I used to have a Landrover Defender, but it was a permanent 4 wheel drive. Not exactly the same architecture.
So forgive me in advance for all the silly questions I may ask.:dunno:

Happy to share my Blazer experience with you guys.
Will post some pics of my new babe asap.

Cheers,

Hello from Texas

Great forum and I'm glad I've found it. Been a Chevrolet truck owner for the last 40 years, trucks ranging from my 1950 1 ton panel to my present daily driver, a 1976 GMC camper special 1 ton dually.

New here

Hello, I'm new here just introducing myself name is joey I do not own a suburban or k5 as of right now I used to own a 86 burb 4x4 a few years back. planning on getting another come feburary so thought I would get into some forums so I can learn as much knowledge as I can. I do have big plans for what ever I get just got to get it lol.
what I'm looking for is either another burb. of that era 4wd or a k5 or the same era.
it will mostly come down to condition of what I find rust/damage will decide which I get.

Hey hey, new guy here from Iowa. I currently don't have a K5 but I'm looking to get one and start building. Looks like I have plenty of reading to do.

Howdy

Hey fellas. Brand new to the forum and K5's. Been a Jeep guy most of my life, and am well acquainted with most _J models. But just picked up an '86 K5 with a fresh crate GM 350 w/edelbrock appointments, rebuilt 700r, 32" bfg's, otherwise stock. Starting the functional renovation/reconditioning of the K5. Evidently this is the right forum to start my research!

Cheers!

Hey, name's Nick from Kansas. I'm pretty new to 4wd trucks but not new to things mechanical. Joined mostly for the discussion, I like to hear about the experiences and opinions of others before venturing out and spending money on my own projects. I'm looking forward to all the knowledge contained in these pages and the people!

Hi, my name is Jake, I live in South Range, WI. I own a 1986 K5 Blazer that was my dads pride and joy when he was 18 that I purchased from him when I was 19. The past year and a half has been mainly making this thing road worthy and replacing anything that has broken in the short period of time that I have owned it. My plan is to make this truck reliable, fun, and to be taken off road here and there. Only upgrades so far are 33" bf Goodrich all terrains (due to a blow out), and some customizing inside that I have done. I am currently looking at winches, custom bumpers, and a lift kit to buy.
