Introductions & Greetings

Yep. That place was neat. Had some cool old Chevys sitting around too.

Ever make it up to Tuttle?

I went to Tuttle about 15 years ago, that was the last time. Once I figure out a direction for the truck I just bought I may have to venture up that way, I'm sure it's changed a lot in 15 years lol.

Howdy everyone! I just joined the forum because I am in the market for a K5 and I was told this is where all the experts are!

Background on me, I had a 94 grand cherokee on 35s, and pretty built, sold it a year ago, and I now want to get back into the off road scene and the K5 seems to be the perfect fit for me.

New here. I have a 92 GMC k1500, it started life as a rcsb but this winter I cut it down to a 108" wheel base, added ford 1 ton axles, running the driveshafts out of a k5 I parted out from the original SAS (used a ford d44 and 9.5" 14 bolt)

I was hoping to ad some hydro assist steering and weld the front diff with the install of some 5.38 gears but the steering is getting the best of me and could use some help

newbie

Howdy all,
Im new to the forum and looking to buy my first K5 im not sure if im going to get a gmc or chevy but I'll know it when I see it. I have been into cars and trucks all my life mostly trucks and I'm a Chevy/GMC man. Had a few of both and my share of jeeps but now I want something small enough to hit the trails but big enough to stand her on her ass.
Thanks

I have a one question, how to add new pictures , not as a html link?

you can remote link stuff from places like photobucket, etc by clicking on the little mountain icon in the reply screen and paste the pic addy in...

or if you become a paid member you can upload em to this site...

you can also "attach" images by clicking manage attachments at the bottom of the reply page iirc...

Time and a computer

Hello all, I am still hunting down a 70, but in the mean time I have enjoyed reading about the woes and fixes the gear heads in here have done. I read things in here that are over my head and I google the hell out of it and get a little more knowledge about my task ahead. Thank you all for your help, whether known or not. May patience and luck find me a 70 I can snatch and start my journey.

Thank you.

New guy

I have been lurking since last July when I bought my '87 Blazer Silverado. So far I have just done a few minor things like changing the heater core, maintenance and cleaning, but I'm planning out a few projects. I love this truck, I've been wanting a Blazer since I was a kid, and finally have one.

She needs some work still, im working on replacing the trans to adaptor o-ring right now and plan to finish this weekend.

My plans are to have a rig I can drive to the wheeling spot, wheel all day, or weekend, and drive her back home.

Right now she’s got a stock 350 motor, 350 trans, NP203 t-case, sitting on GM Corp 10bolt front and 12bolt rear axels with some 35x12.50 15 mounted to them.

I’ll be working on her this weekend if you guys want to swing by, got to get that o-ring replaced. PM me.
