Introductions & Greetings

New guy from Colorado here. I have previously owned a few C/K trucks including a 73' Blazer, 78' Sub and a handful of 73-87' pickups. Thinking about getting back into it with the purchase of a Sub to use for family back country travel. Looking forward to hanging our here and meeting new friends.

Hey guys. My name is Greg, and I live in Marana, Az (small farming town just north of Tucson).

I recently acquired a '78 K5 Blazer in need of pretty much a full rebuild. I've been slowly working on it as time allows, and it's now nearing the ability to be driven, haha.

I've been a lurker on this forum for some time, and have now finally decided to register, and become an active forum member. Thanks for providing an excellent source of knowlege, and tech for these awesome rigs.

Welcome to all the new guys.

I will be in Havasu in May. I will try to remember to hit you up before I get there. A beer may be in order.

Hello

I've been a avid blazer lover for years. Have owned multiple one but the wife said I needed a rig that would fit six people. So I had to get a crew cab. So hopefully I can still have fun seeing your guy's stuff and maybe get some inspiration on my new project.

I've been on the forums as a guest.... Figure it is time to join. I have a 1991 K5 that will be posted for sale soon. Thank you medical bills :-(

This forum has given me a ton of information about my K5. I'm in Columbus, Ohio. Give a shoutout if there is a group ride event. I'm completely new to this state.

If you can't wait for the for sale post...

Heyo!

I've had my 1983 K5 6.2L 4x4 for a few years now, daily driving it and slowly fixing it up.

Have big plans for it, but right now it just hauls my motorcycles around and have fun in snow storms

I'm up in the old and cold Canada (Toronto + southern Ontario), causing a ruckus where ever I go.

Greetings From NC

Greetings Everyone,
I just recently bought an 83 diesel blazer and love the thing. Took it off roading at the beach and the thing is a hoss. I used to live in Denver years ago but didn't have a blazer then. :dunno:. My blazer is in good shape with just over 100K miles so now i'm fixin' to restore it. Anyhow, I'm sure I'll be appreciating the information on this forum.
Thanks, Tyler

Hey, I've got the same truck. Have you ever had trouble with the water in fuel sensor leaking? How did you fix it?
Thanks, Tyler

Welcome to CK5!

For future reference, you should quote the person you are asking so that it doesn't look like your are talking to yourself. :waytogo:

I think you were asking this guy....

Your question would probably garner much better responses in "The Garage" which is the go to place for general tech questions here. Post up in there and I'm sure someone will have experience or advice for you.

Hello everyone my names bray I live in Jacksonville NC for now. I've got a '85 GMC Jimmy with a 6.2 diesel along with a 700r4/np208 combo. I've had it for about two months so far and I've almost got all the little stuff taken care of and I'm starting to customize it to make it mine. I always wanted a full size blazer but never had the money growing up then once I joined he marines I got into jeeps and off roading. Now I'm back to my GM roots though and I don't plan on getting rid of my jimmy I'm gonna restore it and keep it.
